I honestly feel that Link being a silent protagonist is part of his character, at this point, which Aonuma seems to think so, too.
I can't seriously be the only person who still likes the occasional silent protagonist, can I?
You know, I pretty much agree with the top 5. Hell, the top 10 is solid.
I'd bump up Oracle of Ages/Seasons over Phantom Hourglass (that one dungeon you had to enter over and over again was a pain in the ass, to me, for some reason), and I honestly wouldn't have put Hyrule Warriors in the list at all. Strangely, though, I'd put HW way higher in the list because it's the only Zelda my wife and I can say that we've played for 400 hours or more- it's so d...
Very interesting turn that they went with this time, and it sounds much-removed from the angle they attempted in Dual Destinies.
Phoenix having no sidekick, at least in the beginning, is probably a writing tool so that Phoenix can be the tutorial giver instead of the Ace Attorney pulling an Ash Ketchum and reverting back to a beginner every iteration.
I like the sound of it so far!
Wow, I absolutely love Ys, so if the controls are good, this would be a guaranteed buy from me. I can't imagine playing a game that requires you ever-so-precisely run into enemies but only at a specific angle to be anything less than frustrating once getting to the last dungeon, though, lol.
Still though, cool to see the developer/publisher branching out.
It's already been rated for Steam (it has a page and everything saying early 2016), so that may be an option if you don't want to play with touch controls, or deal with syncing a controller to your phone.
I'm also imagining it will make its way to the Playstation platforms with these enhancements, too.
Ah, I still have my GB cartridge for this! One of my favorite Kirby games.
The character in that thumbnail looks like Captain Falcon's son with Jun the Swan from Gatchaman.
Can't wait for this on Steam.
Truly; I agree.
The Zelda series doesn't need rebooted simply because the series itself has never been one to lend itself to only a singular theme. If Nintendo has a new setting, story, or mechanic they want to try out, they try it out, come hell (in a lunar-induced apocalypse) or literal high water (the world flooding a la Wind Waker).
I mean, Majora's Mask was proceeded by Wind Waker; the most depressing and creepy game in the entire series had its ...
We finally got a concrete timeline, and I don't see the point in a reboot when in one game you're time traveling, then you're time traveling and it's depressing and creepy, and then in the very next entry, the world is flooded and you're sailing on a talking boat and everything is bright and cheerful and shiny (in stark contrast to the dark and depressing of Majora's Mask lol).
Nintendo has proved time and again that they will do whatever themes they w...
I agree with everything but the timeline where the hero is killed and Zelda saves the world.
The whole point of the Goddesses Trial, the Master Sword, and the soul of the Hero is that Zelda *can't* be the one to save the world because she is the reincarnation of the Goddess Hylia, forgotten throughout time. Hylia realized her power was not enough to defeat Demise, therefore she decided to lend her power to her creation in order to have them defeat this evil foe.

This is a time saving convenience and keeps you from having to do a repetitious minigame- I'm all for this change.
1.) Open Google Play on Android or iOS App Store.
2.) Tap the search bar and type, "Final Fantasy Portal." (without the quotation marks or the period, preferably. Maybe it'll still work, maybe it'll warp you and your phone to the Dead Zone. Anything's possible).
3.) Click and download the first result.
You have now acquired the Final Fantasy Portal app. Congratulations.
I agree with everything except the racial stat advantage removal. I'd actually like it if the non-Saiyan races were given outrageous power to compensate for their differences (Super Saiyan and infinite Ki led to way too many super spam fights online. Well, it did with that one Z soul when the game came out, I don't actually know if things balanced out after that).
I actually think there should be reason to use the other races, not just stick to one particular race tha...
List is pretty solid. I wouldn't have put Abyss so high (I wasn't a fan of its plot, even when I was in my late-teens. I spent much of the big plot twist going, "Why did all of these characters allow this to happen, and why are the ones responsible (by excluding information from the parties involved) blaming Luke?" Also, free run was busted to pieces in that game. Vesperia, Graces F and later iterations fixed all of those flaws though.
The combat in Tales ga...
It's really sad how poor this port is. I have the original GC discs as well as the PS3 ToS Chronicles, and was very much looking forward to this (I got it free by pre-ordering Tales of Zestiria, at that).
It took a fair amount of time to figure out how to get the game to even *run*, as it was crashing the second I clicked play. I had to run as admin, disable full screen via .ini, and also add it to DEP exclusions.
Thankfully I've had no FPS drops or a...
I clicked the article link mainly because I felt I needed to know if they actually rated the game on a 4.25 out of 6 scale. lol
I see nothing wrong with this.
Good call! I knew that was coming out, but I didn't realize it was in, like, two days!
Looks like I'm putting off Far Cry, as well, lol.
Awesome, love Monster Hunter. Spend easily 300~ hours on MH4U, and even more than that in 2 and 3.
