Although I like Game Informer a lot, I don't often agree with their JRPG scores, so I'll take this one with a grain of salt and judge on my own.
I got the best buy logo on mine, and you are right this kind of exclusive crap sucks.
I have both 360 and PS3, and two TVs set up in one room so often I will have a Netflix movie playing on one TV while I play games on my other TV. I love that I can always have Netflix available no matter which system I am playing on, but I prefer the 360 for Netflix, it is much faster to find something to watch when you have a large queue, and I don't have to deal with the disc.
This was a great idea from MS, well if it actually worked that is. They had Uno Rush advertised as the deal of the day today for 400 points, but they were actually charging anyone who bought it 800 points. Apparently they were unable to fix their glitch so now the deal of the day has disappeared completly. Classic MS, I hope they get it fixed soon. I still think it is a nice idea, better then what PS3 or Wii are offering for the holiday... but too bad this happened.
Agreed, I love this site, because it has so much news, but whenever I read the comment section I find myself amazed by all the fanboy nonsense. Personally, I feel that the 360 fanboys are just as annoying as the PS3 fanboys, but indeed on N4G the PS3 fanboys do tend to be the majority. That is true, except if you did run into one of these brats on the street and you actually smacked them around, they would probably press charges and you would end up the bad guy. Just the way things work these days.
I got mine yesterday morning at Fry's, it was on sale for $49.99, and they had 3 more copies on the shelve. Not sure if they will still have them today, but thought it might help anyone who has a Fry's in their neighborhood.
The difference is that you can ONLY play downloadable games on the PSPgo. So if the PSPgo is the future of gaming then in the future all game systems will follow suit, meaning that in the future you will have no choice in where you purchase ALL of your games. It is just too bad it took so long for Sony to lower it's price, if it had done this in the first place it wouldn't be needing to play catch up this late in the game. Now please release some decent PS3 RPG's and I might start believing in Sony again.
I bought one, but was very disappointed in it. It was nice for about a month but quickly flattened out. You have to keep buying and refilling it with beanbag stuffing and that gets old and expensive fast. It is now shoved in my closet. I suggest a lazy boy instead, best $700 I have every spent.
If you are unhappy with the pricing, I know I am, please send MS a message by not buying the product. Maybe they will get the hint and lower the prices in the future. I was actually interested in the clothes and toys for the avatar, but not at those prices. I'll wait until they go on sale. As for the games on demand, I'll stick with hard copies bought at bargain prices, thank you very much.
I agree, well I guess the good news is that Game retailers can relax because they won't be going anywhere anytime soon. These prices give the gamer absolutely no reason to support MS's DL by demand service. For me I am not disappointed, because I would personally rather have the hard copy version of the game anyway. Hopefully these prices cause the program to fail miserably and MS will learn a lesson about what gamers will and will not support.
If you support Activision's greed you are just giving the rest of the gaming companies an excuse to raise their prices as well. If game prices go up and up and up, it is the fault of people like you. So you can pat yourself on the back when we are paying higher prices for all games. If companies raise prices, but nobody buys the game, maybe they will take a hint about what gamers will and will not pay. Since you obviously don't own a 360 what are you using to judge how good or bad LIVE is or isn't? The PS3 is a nice machine, and I am certain that some people really love it, myself I like it a lot, but you are delusional if you really believe that PSN is better then LIVE.
Personally, I would rather be an idiot with a 'real' game collection to play with, instead of ignorant fanboy who is missing out on half of the great gaming that this world has to offer.

Well actually, Last week, after a year and 1/2, My Xbox Elite red ringed, so I played my PS3 for that one night, and the next day I picked up a brand new Elite for Free "thank you product replacement plan". I also got 2 free games (Halo3/Fable2 package is nice), and a free harddrive, because the sales person was kind enough to allow me to keep it, and since the Elite dropped in price since I bought it I got money back. Now now, in this case I think the 360 fanboys deserve a little trash talk, PS3 fanboys on this site made a big stink every time a JRPG came out on the 360 and received lower then expected reviews, and everytime someone would make a comment about how great WKC was going to be... so yeah they must be laughing their asses off now. Karma is a really interesting thing. We should all learn something here, but I doubt that will happen.
