I was disappointed with the Rocksteady doing the Batman VR thing...which will almost certainly turn out to be little more than a tech demo type experience...I wish they were working on a Green Arrow/Flash game in the vein of Batman Arkham City.
I don't know, Sony did well, but MS did better IMO...simply breaking the Gen barrier to me was THE big mic drop this year. Giving the gamer the choice as to when they want to upgrade or not.
To be fair, MS's show was 90 minutes, Sony's was 60. Yes they spent more time on Mincraft then I cared about, but I get why...the fanbase for Minecraft is MASSIVE and they wanted to demo the new tech/announcement they were making.
I think TLoU2 will be saved for next year
I didn't say win...I said they had more stuff I was interested in....and I can say that based on what impresses me I guess. By no means am I saying Sony's show was bad, they genuinely surprised me and impressed me with two games (and potentially a third depending if Kojima lets his ego get in the way again or not...MGS5 was great, but not the direction/story...which was his role) Other than Horizon, Days Gone, and God of War...everything interesting at the Sony conference was multi-pl...
Come on dude, God of War and Days Gone looked great, but stop being a fanboy about the whole thing. Sony did NOT "win" based on the first game they showed...be real
Agreed, I'm excited about those two games...I just want to know when they come out is all
I'm not sure the two games are meant to be the same thing...just cause they both have zombies, doesn't mean they have the same goal. In fact the interview today with the DR4 guys seemed to be more concerned with just creating fun, laughable, destructive fun...with everything else as a background to that...so I'm not sure I'd compare the two like that.
Oops, I downvoted you and meant to hit agree.
Agreed, except I'm looking forward to Horizon. Sometimes these kids that say "Sony won" just strike me as people that would say that no matter what happened. Esp being that they are saying it based on things they incorrectly say that MS does....like releasing trailers for games YEARS before release. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to those games too, but they didn't even hint at a release date which makes me think they are far off. Nah Sony did well, but...
They did very well, but "won" you fanboys are crazy. Stop seeing what you want to see and thinking everything is a competition. Sony gave me some stuff to be excited about for sure...but who knows when it will come out? That being said, I was more excited about MS's conference.
When I made the comment all they had shown was a CG trailer...I was saying that I was excited that there was gameplay...I'm actually looking forward to this title.
Nah, Sony did very well, and gave me two more solid games I didn't know anything about. Still I was impressed much more with stuff at the MS conference....more importantly, MS talked about stuff that is coming out soon. The two games Sony surprised me with look great, but who knows when they will come out...they didn't even hint at YEARS that they would be released. So it's nice to know there are a few more Sony games I'm excited about, but when? Going into the show, the ne...
So overall, I'd say I was more impressed with the MS conference, it's harder to find things I WASN'T interested in...and I absolutely love how they handled Slim and Scorpio (already pre-ordered my Slim). Now with Scorpio doing the highest quality VR (presumably with Vive and Rift) I'm gonna skip PSVR altogether...esp since most of the best titles are on Rift as well.
THAT BEING SAID, the Sony conference was very good too...it actually genuinely surprised me...
Looks fantastic!!!
I get the impression you can play it with or without VR (which I'm almost certain cause I think they said you could download the demo now). That being said, with the announcement that Scorpio will work natively with Rift and Vive, I think I'm skipping PSVR and just waiting till then to do all my VR gaming.
Gameplay?
It's only the consensus HERE on N4G, which is flooded by Sony fanboys...so DUH. And OF COURSE you'd ALREADY say that Sony will "win" E3...thanks for proving my point.
Of course N4G would think this...pathetic fanboys, just game already. Stop downplaying everything with the "wrong Label" MS did EXCELLENT this year. At every fork in the road, they made the right decision.
F'n ridiculous. You're the worst kind of "gamer" just give up already.
Love the approach of giving gamers options about VR and when a Gen starts and ends
