To me, Deep Down is the only one, that really, without question, significantly supersedes visually what the PS3 did last gen and the XboxOne's announcements.
I don't care. The demo featured other sections where the action slows down so that you can savour it. Why not in a moment where you can choose a QTE? When you look up the definition of videogames it does not say 'must not ever contain QTES even if they might enhance parts of the game'.

Your view that all games in the last 2 generations (Dreamcast, PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, Xbox360, PS3, Wii, WiiU) have been the same , except with better graphics / draw distance doesn't stand up to scrutiny. It just contains enough of an element of truth for people to believe it (after all, the N64 did pioneer some series that the Gamecube provided sequels to).
By your reasoning, it would mean that nothing that the Dreamcast did, or nothing that came after the Dreamcast, was ...
Jet Set Radio Future.
The closest I see to that is Sunset Overdrive.
Evil.
Dead.
Jump in.
Xbox One.
Only joking.
Not being of the camp that says that to be artistic you must necessarily be human story focussed or appeal to the bourgeoisie sentiment of what is meaningful(something that the likes of Marcel Duchamp, and later Pop Art, debunked a long time ago), my choices for artistry in Microsoft games would not be the easy sell to gamers that Sony's deserved success with the likes of the Bafta-award winning The Unfinished Swan, Heavy Rain and Naughty Dog's would be.
But if I may ...
Microsoft had some nice hits too. Alan Wake. And, um, Alan Wake : American Nightmare.
Wait the couple of years until it's reduced on PSN (or even free on PSN - they'll still get revenue from Sony for being on the store in the first place) or £5 in a bargain bucket- but still brand new.
So you don't want to give the makers of The Order any money and yet you want to play it...
You don't deserve to play The Order. You deserve to play some demo that some guy at Gamestop knocked up for you. Gamestop do not make the games. They and companies like them are glorified market traders.
Respect the games makers- give them your money by buying new so that they have the proper and full funds to make more games. Or wait until it comes down in pric...
The linear QTE game Heavenly Sword posing as something greater didn't get criticised for being so and Ryse looks a lot more interesting than that hack and slasher.

I wonder what you thought of Sony's decision not to include 4 controller ports as standard with the PS2? Most games are 1 or 2 player it is said but 4 controller ports had been a standard for 4 years at that point (N64, Dreamcast)! Were 'party gamers' screwed?
I'd like to see Alice : Madness Returns at a discount on the UK store.
The price has stayed at £19.99 for ages.
Reasons why, even as a PS3 owner, I may get an XboxOne (and only get a PS4 later):
1) Although the Sony presentations were refreshing, grounded, even fun in terms of their spirit, when the internet suddenly became overwhelmingly pro-PS4 the real reasons revealed something uglier. Self appointed pseudo-intellectuals pretending that nothing of any artistic note has ever been done on Xbox consoles.
2) Family sharing plan is a great idea- and it may return. Consi...
STOP CALLING IT SATIRE.
Animal Farm is a satire. You replace one thing (humans) with another thing (animals) to expose human follies.
These articles are nearly always SPOOFS. They mimic a very plausible real world scenarios. They don't do it in the abstract, metaphorical, kind of way that would have made it a satire.
Well, as plausible as it can be with the comment about Indiana Jones IV at the end. Even Speilberg wouldn't think that....
How would Microsoft's original policy have screwed me if I always buy games brand new?
I PREFERRED their original policy because of the family share idea.
Their backtracking does me, personally, no favours.
Listen very carefully.. I shall say this only once. SOME OF YOU PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT SATIRE IS. The article is a SPOOF. That is different from a SATIRE.

noun
1.
the use of irony, sarcasm, ridicule, or the like, in exposing, denouncing, or deriding vice, folly, etc.
I'd like to know why you disagree. If you didn't see any elements of those games in the game then maybe you don't know enough. I saw one particular section that might as well have had HL2's 'Route Kanal' graffitied on the walls.
I don't want every game that I play to look like some post-plague survival horror.
After 2 generations of building sales successes (whereas Sony has maintained theirs) Microsoft had to charge more for their console this time and bundle in the Kinect because Sony had already won the trust of tens of millions of of gamers to keep on providing top story-based games throughout the generation.
If Microsoft hadn't done it this way, even if it caused outrage to start with (no news is bad news) then the whole system would have been seen as permanently second fi...
