It's just games contributors mean a lot to me. The art form has been underestimated or demonised by some. I appreciate any respects. It saddens me when anyone in this beautiful industry, which people like him make more beautiful, are no more. Never forget , when faced with sometimes identikit looking games, that, even if only deep down and scared to show it, we're all a bunch of hippies at heart because we strive for abstract representations of fun. And that's what the games stud...
That screenshot looks beautiful, so detailed- and, if the Paris level is anything to go by, hopefully you can go in many buildings.
They could cut that down by saying 'It's a Silent Hill copy. Even the name is reminiscent of Shattered Memories'. At least they do admit 'A true spiritual successor of the greatest horrific games from the 90's.'
" On Forgotten Memories: Alternate realities, you'll play Rose Hawkins, a strong independent woman who is searching for a missing young girl named Eden. Rose wakes up wounded and in a strange place she doesn't recognize.

Just ask yourself why now is a 15 year old game being re-released? Of course it's because Remedy's in the news because of Quantum Break. I don't dispute that Max Payne elements are in Quantum Break, of course I don't- that's the whole crux of why I said it. Some PS4 owners would like to be playing Quantum Break but they can't so they've re-released a 15 year old game for PS4 owners to play. Don't pretend it's a coincidence.
The first Max Payne is such an old game that, if it's not a full remaster, then it's a cash in for PS4 owning Remedy fans who have Quantum Break in their head.
Eh? His work is there for anyone to experience. If you're talking about work that he might have gone on to do, how closely, really, did you follow his work? Was it always on your 'must buy' list? I am sure he was a fine, kind and talented man - you can see not only from his credits but his photo. Your glib tribute , which you could splutter out about anyone, is the kind I'd like to do away with- along with the term 'R.I.P' actually which reminds me of horror movies. Wh...
Uncharted 4 doesn't have EXACTLY the same gameplay as previous games. What raises the mundane gameplay is the variety of locations, power and detail of setpieces, and identifaction with or at least sympathy for, at least one of the characters. UC4 has grappling hook, drop punches, drivable vehicles (Drake's Fortune only had jetskis, UC3 only had horses), wide linear gameplay. Whilst none of those are new to gaming, they will hopefully avoid the direct comparisons UC3 had to UC2. Also ...
Yes, Banjo Kazooie is beautiful. It took a leaf out of Nintendo's book in terms of having a hub world but the level design of the overall world suggests genius at Rare. In fact, I can pay no higher compliment to either series than to say that, to me, Metroid Prime is Banjo Kazooie set in space with a horror theme.
Play Hitman (apart from fully destructible environments - but it has setpiece destruction).
What poor marketing? It had great CGI ads, Sunset TV, a Sunset Overdrive bus, T shirts.
Super Mario Maker would increase that a lot for me.
What are you tryin to say? What was wrong with the SO marketing campaign? They had adverts, merchandise, events, Sunset TV.
It is a total cliche said so often people think it's true. But Jet Set Radio Future, Blinx The Timesweeper, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Banjo Kazooie Nuts and Bolts, Kameo, Sea of Thieves, Cuphead, Ori and The Blind Forest, even Perfect Dark Zero and Quantum Break, are not colourless compared to Resistance or Killzone - Xbox doesn't lack colourful series. In fact, I'd argue Sony takes them the least seriously - Microsoft wouldn't dream of trying to sell Knack for full normal RRP....
Just as much Jet Set Radio Future.
Sony are not as good at advertising / promotion as Microsoft. Insomniac's Sunset Overdrive had what I think was the best advertising campain of the generation.
Phil Spencer already said he won't be doing a small upgrade so why bring Microsoft in to this?
They should mark such 'stories' as ads.
'Please read, that's not what I was saying at all. '
Yes, you got a lot of comments on your first post. But that's the thing about posts- we don't necessarily know there's a later one unless we must scroll down the entire list or look at the post history of every user before we comment. Wouldn't it let you edit the original post to make it clearer which meaning you meant by sales? Anyway, sorry that people downmarked your second post too- I don't think...
5+ million sales of Mario Kart 8, 4 million sales of niche looking squid paint shooter Splatoon of all things is not poor sales in the slightest , particularly from a console with no more than 12 million owners. (and, of course, last gen, 80 million plus sales of Wii Sports).
I want UC4 like a Scot wants a drink.
