Nioh, horizon, nier, persona, yakuza, just released this year and are mostly 40+ hours games (don't know about nier though). So yeah it is hard to keep up and creation of a backlog is almost inevadaleble so there isn't any time for last gen games. When you have a job and maybe even a family you can't game 24/7 . i know xbox gamers don't know problems like these because they have plenty of time between releases for multiple runthroughs and hours in mp.

That's the thing with the larger audience, the so called casuals, they don't care about if it is checkerboard or native 4k just like they don't care about framerates. Price, games and just as important, the brand are the deciding factors. Xbox scorpio could do okay in NA but in the rest of the world xbox just isn't a thing and way less attractive as playstation is. The title "most powerful console" probably will attract a few gamers which did...
Ubisoft games are for the most part, soulless, unpolished with drastic visual downgrade. And hzd is far from this.
i stay away from ubi with exception of the "smaller" games like rayman origins\ legends.

"I think we can agree all three games are really stellar entries over the course of the last year for the PS4 though"
I agree, ps4 gamers can be glad that we can pick our personal favorite between such amazing and diverse games. I'm only a few hours into yakuza 0, so i wait with final judgement wheather it also earns a spot on my imaginary "best ps4 games list", but so far it looks promising.
Agreed to 100%. This should be standard in every game. Offer some control schemes but also let us fully costumize if needed. Battfield 1's r2 shooting was making me mad for example.
Yeah, you can map the buttons in ps4 settings but then control of everything is totally messed up. Not to mention promps where it still says "press x" and you have first think about on which button you mapped with "x"
In my book, bloodborne + addon still is the best ps4 exclusive so far. I would even rank hzd behind nioh, uc4 and ratchet & clank. But still a masterpiece imo.
I believe the will deliver an awesome, well crafted singleplayer as always. But i'm afraid that we won't get a large scale addon in the likes of undead nightmare once the games is out because rockstar again don't wan't to lure away players from the mp, where the big money is.
Idk i hated the driving in IV and preferred V's driving alot more. Different tastes i guess.

Sales are important because when there aren't enough you can see in x1's case. It not only isn't profitable enough to keep a steady flow of exclusive games to the console, no, you have to take the few former exclusives to another plattform. I'm convinced that this " release xbox games on pc" move was only because they didn't sell enough boxes and therefore not enough games. If they wanted to this ms would have released halo 5, sunset o...

I can only speak for myself but imo sales are also a very important factor because it's the larger userbase is ensuring enough revenue for the console manufacturer which can be reinvested in making high quality exclusives games, not only pleasing the existing users but also help to attract new ones and so on. You can see this for example with x1. Sales of the console were abysmal, so microsoft had to take the exclusives to pc in order to try to keep these games p...
No all of them just were ps4 fanboys disguised as xbox fans /s
That was what i referring to. In n64's case it was the ram expansion. And at this time the difference wowed me.
How many times i've read that niche games don't count when it comes to ps4 exclusives. it's funny because it turned out that the large majority of xbox (console)exclusives are niche games.
Nope, because on pc you could choose between a boatload of graphics cards, not to mention different cpu's, different size of ram.
I was talking about 1 specific expansion/ exchange graphic card dictated by sony or ms, so there wouldn't be a million different setups. I mean we already have midgen upgrades anyway, so why not eliminate the need to buy a new console, but give the option to buy 1 selected video card for the purpose of an optional midgen upgrade?
...
Hmm i wouldn't mind having a console where i can insert not any, but a specific (licenced) graphics card. Console manufacturers could unlock the ability at a certain point in time, let's say after 3 years, via firmware update or even from the get go for those who want their premium product from the beginning and therefore are willing to pay more.
It's already a running gag. As soon as an xbox game ' s sales are low, there is always that "but but digital sold higher" with no evidence whatsoever when facts show that nowadays physical versions still make up the larger part of sells. And without ms releasing numbers i tend to believe statistic more than the guess of xbox fanboys.
But in this case i'm sure sales expection wasn't too high anyway, given the small overall userbase's preference...
Outstanding by xbox standards
I don't think it's really disagreeing though. Imo it's more like " i don't want to read this, it is hurting my feelings".^^
I can't speak for others. But i like to have all consoles because usually there are always games worth owning the device for. But this gen xbox's lineup sucks big time imho and i can't understand xbox fans celebrating hardware rather than demanding enough games from the richest company of the big 3. i know games can't be made in 6 months but at least ms should show they are willing to deliver by founding new first party studios instead of cancelling games and releasing new ha...
