Couldn't it be that it would be an easier goal to emulate wiiu graphics and make it run decent on pc than emulate x1 or ps4 and therefore focusing on wiiu? No attack, it's a genuine question as i almost don't have any knowledge about emulators.
It would be hard for an xbox console to beat playstation. I mean, in past ms didn't really shine when you think about how they handled their consoles so far. OG XBOX was a promising start but they dropped it after 4yrs due to low sales. After that they came up with x360 with the highest failure rate in history of consoles(maybe of electronics in general). I love uncharted but thinking about what naughty dog could come up with, makes me want them to stop making uc( or at least put it on halt for one or two gens) and amaze us with completely new ip's. A lead by 2 millions in just one country, which also happens to be xbox home turf, the country where the xbox brand has the most appeal than it has in any other country, is indeed huge.

Now that x1 sold 17 millions in the usa that means it only sold about 8 millions in the rest of the world when we look at the last figures estimating 25 million bones worldwide, which is laughable.
Well it also helped them inflate x360 numbers which made xbox look more important than it actually was.

I must admit i'm having alot deja vu when playing through the world of horizon. But horizon did the one thing better than what killed the witcher 3 for me and not even finishing it, the story. The graphics are top notch in both games, the side quests are extraordinary and far away from the typical sidequests in other games. But imo witcher 3 main story was boring to the fullest.
Oh good to know it isn't only me who feels like simpsons isn't as good as it was back in the days^^
But if they hope ms will be great like in the og xbox and early x360 why not try to force them with not buying the console or, at least, not buying games for it?
How in the world should x1 with it's rare amount of exclusives surpass the first, second and third party exclusive ps4 monster? Even when you add scorpio to the equation and count it as x1, similar to ps4+pro, it wouldn't come even slightly in reach of the ps4. Scorpio won't sell enough to catch up. Even Phil spencer stated in an interview that scorpio isn't going to sell more than x1, if i'm not mistaken. I think ms should be happy if and should ensure that they don't...

It seems to bother you that overload could prefer these games just because they are ps4 only. There's nothing wrong with embracing exclusive games and giving them more importance than games you can buy on any device. Especially when they are critcally acclaimed. They make a console stand out against the others.

I just wanted to state that ms doesn't need cryteks mediocre shooters, because ms is already focused on shooters anyway. Personally i would much more prefer if they would open up or buy a studios which are experienced in developing in other genres. Or make a new team at 343 which works other ip than halo. Same with the coalition.
Cryteks games are among the most boring games in the industry. Sure, they can pull off fancy graphics but the games are pretty meh imho. Ms doesn't need anymore studios that produce mediocre shooters, they already have them. They should look out for creative studios because ms really needs them. And in addition ms shouldn't keep the studio on a short leash and allow them a bit of creative freedom during development.
Hmm i don't care if one of this games are affected by the other. For me it's horizon day one, zelda some time later for my wiiu when i finished horizon and had a few more runs through nioh ng+. Either way i think it's awesome that 2017 already started with 3 games of this calibre.

But as a primary console gamer i don't care much about emulation the only thing that caught my attention on this article was that it happened so fast.
