It is an issue Sony has as a company, they never have had till now to really need to do this kind of thing. There is a major difference between judging and giving constructive feedback, I don't expect anyone to agree with me on this being most gamers don't understand such things very well. Sony does well in R&D and Design but this is the first time where they needed to more or less build software as well, I don't expect it to happen over night. Its just a place they need to im...
I don't think any of that is going to happen, Sony has had more then enough time to do it, overall its a very simple thing to do. They just seem to have no drive to do it and it does not help that many PS3 owners always say PSN is perfect and brag how it is free. There is a long list of things they could do but simple things like moving the battery Icon took them forever to do. Only decent thing we ever got was the In game XMB ( Which is very impractical to have the hole thing in there.) ...
One time I dropped an emergency supply drop on Point A on a domination game and killed 4 of my team mates. Was kind of funny but then I died they got all the air strikes and stuff that was in them, was a sad day.
My step mom loves this game, now I know what to get her from Xmas. Anyone know if they said anything about a release date?
To be honest, the Playstation is a stronger brand name then Xbox, its been around much longer and has a stronger following I feel. Where the Xbox is doing very well is the US a place Sony seems to be having a hard time in, and the place they need to improve the most in. Xbox on the other hand needs to try to get some ground in Japan and several EU places. It gets even more complicated when you start talking about where those units are sold. Xbox having a larger install base in the US is much ...
Ya they seem to be trying to get there community to come back, Gears 1 was great but 2 had lots of issues and lots of my friends who played it moved on to other games some time ago. Seems more like a last stand then anything. 31x xp kind of defeats the point of ranks and screws over those who worked hard to earn theres.
I think it will sell well, it has enough marketing dollars behind it. I personalty do not like Kinect, I don't think it does enough at this point to be worth the price. At least for me. I do see this kind of tech being popular in the future, like if it was built in to a TV or monitor that would be a great way to interface with content. I don't want it to fail no gamer should wish that, but I do question the utility value of it and what kind of gaming experiences it can support. I do h...
There needs to be a game that has just all kinds of silly bugs, this with the spinning head from Fallout and random stuff from other games. Be such a fun game to play XD
I can never trust these things, where they on the same TV? Same Cable? Same color and contrast and brightness settings? Is the PS3 one using Full RGB or Superwhite or the Cross Color Filter?
You could so very easy make ether version look a little better or worse by changing any of that. Or even make them look more alike. Thus the point of the settings. I don't think I have ever seen one comparison that was done in a scientific and fair way. I don't mind comparisons j...
I think it is a good number. At my Target store the people I talk with have yet to even hear of PS Move, or Kinect for that matter. Its going to take time for consumer awareness to spike up. Sony talked about a big deal with Coke but I'v not seen anything come of that yet. I still think Move is much more appealing to both casual and hardcore gamers. Being they can identify a lot with the Wii.
However I don't see ether getting a few million units out there anytime soo...
@bear
Thats true as well, I'v always saw MS as a core online gaming company, Nothing about the Xbox even the name Xbox itself just tells me its not core system. That and they are asking alot for any gamer to get a system for Kinect and then get games for it and if you want live that is more $$ as well. Move does have the same issue but they are building off a proven system that the Wii has shown to work and The Playstation brand has always walked the middle ground between...
They remind me alot of Nent. old adds when the Wii first came out, if any of you remember back that far. However it worked well for them and there is no one that can say for a fact it wont work for MS, so we will just have to wait and see.
Side note: My major issue with it is that games are all about getting you immersed in to the game. I see that being very hard to do that 99% of things in games you have to press or activate something to get a result on screen and in real l...
Good show, I think the whole google and sony deal is a bigger reality then they are letting on right now. Sony seems to be working on there weaknesses though partnerships which is good. In fact there new TVs have even more apps and net capability's then the PS3. I sense a major update soon that will make many gamers happy. If you don't believe me have a guy at Best Buy walk you though some of the new Sony 3D TVs.
I kind of liked the online for the first one just needed alot more polish.
I love this to be honest. I give Sony credit for making me chuckle its nice to see them taking the offensive for once. We know its meant to be silly so it is nothing to get bent out of shape about.
Ya I noticed that. Also the PS3 verson had the you tube feature which was nice, not sure if HAWX 2 does. Also the game is only 49.99 not the full 60$
Ya I saw them. It also has this close in combat system which look sick. The Graphics are great as well. And same. AC is not and never will be a Xbox game. I remember playing AC since the PS1 days when it was called Air Combat.
Wish it was still an RTS it looks way to much like Armored Core. Granted I like AC so its not all bad. Not a fan of the on foot parts. Kind of like Dark Void I see that being the worst part of the game.
Only good game like this is Ace Combat, the new one looks sick as hell. They are the only ones that are keeping flying games alive.
There is alot of things they need to do but like I was saying above, I don't think Sony has the resources to do something like that on there own. Every game out there for the most part is coded in Visual Studio, and MS more or less runs C# and C++ they also built things like XNA which is another environment you can use to make games. Its what we build our games on in class, that and Unity and Blender. It looks like Sony is working with Google on things, popular thing to do is to partner w...
