I agree that it is rather annoying but like I was saying its not that simple. How they set up there servers depends greatly on the number of users, also depends on where those users are and so on. This is true for any game, if they knew day one how many users would be online and where then it would not be an issue.
When it comes to mass networking its really just a system of guess and check till you get it right and running stable. It gets more compl...
Not so simple as that.
I won't go to deep in to it but for the most part it is better to add servers to meet demand then take down servers to meet it. Putting them up then just taking them down is not very cost effective. I don't think it is to much to ask for gamers to wait a day or so.
I personally after the other day have not had any issues, with getting matches or lag.
Sounds like it is more of a remote issue for some users.
The online is very good, the core gameplay is very fun and the battle commander and battle points really set this game apart from other shooters.
We got in some very epic chopper fights where we had 4-5 choppers all fighting each other and air drones as well buzzing around. Not going to find that kind of stuff in any other game.
Only thing I'd like to see is for them to add more weapons and airstrikes down the road. It looks like it is set up for that but...
I don't get what reviewers are doing, the game is much better then that, the online is great and very fun and the SP is well done, they gave a good feeling that you where in the US in an occupation. The Sound Design is amazing, the weapons feel like they have power to them, that and some of the effects from bombs and what not are done well also.
Other then the first day (Which btw every shooter has online issues day one) I'v not had any lag or nothing. The game uses d...

Yep, I plan to get one myself once it is in the US. To be honest I expect to see HTC and others make phones with dedicated gaming controls down the road. Its by far a phone first and a gaming device second. And to be honest is the most innovative thing since the iphone. Even if people do not see it as that.
I think people are going to be surprised how well it does. It is even the official phone of MLG which is rather cool.
Another side note since this is bothering me so much right now.
Its not trying to be a PSP. Its more or less a phone that has a focus to gaming. Just like a phone with a text pad has a text focus. And how the iphone has a media focus. And how a blackberry has a communication and productivity focus.
Ether people on here are just that stupid, and don't understand what the product offering is. Or it is just a very weak try at trolling. I mean really guys it ...
Ya it is kind of sad that people don't get almost all smartphones are 600+ with out the contract. Many failed just now trying to rip Sony for the price of the phone. It is the same as any other one.
Side note:
All the people that said that don't have a smart phone, if they did they would be very aware of the fact 99% of the time it is 199 - 250 with some kind of 50 mail in rebate with the contract.
I have been following that, they don't have power to pump water to cool the reactor. They just declared an atomic power emergence.
That is all they need. At the end of the day if gamers like it or not it is about making $$. MS is doing that better then anyone.
I'v said this many times if Games are what sell systems now days then why is it the PS3 is so far behind in the US? The US gamer mentality is much different then that of a EU or Jap gamer. We have a much more social culture and it is no surprise the company that sees and supports that is doing the best here.

That is more or less my point, CoD even on the PS3 sold more in one day then KZ2 ever sold and KZ3 might ever sell. Thats a sad fact that is backed up by more numbers then you can find in a math book.
It is not run of the mill at all, Killzone does many things other shooters do not and has its own identity among FPS games.
I never understood why people try to use the comment that it is generic. I don't see one thing that is generic about it. No one to date has been able to defend that comment and give constructive reasons why it is and what generic even means in a shooter.
It is bad for how good it is. Other games like Halo, CoD, Gears, Uncharted, BF2 all sold much more in the same time.
What I am saying is that it should sell more for how good of a game it is.
With all that $$ you would think they could invest in 1st party studios or buy up some of the ones that have closed over the last few years.
Granted like Alpha said Xbox owners seem to be happy with Live and 3rd party games. If that is the case then MS dose only need to make a few each year.
Kind of sad how low Killzone is. I love the online for that game. For some reason it just does not really sell all that much.
Funny you say that, one of the places I am doing an internship at was looking at Kinect for use in education for people with motor disorders and physical deformity. Example being people who are born with those tiny hands.
I see it being cool for that kind of stuff, but does any gamer really want to hold there hand up and try to interact with every character and object they encounter? Try to use it for 30 mins just for navigation and you get tired.
We just p...
Ya, cool things will come of it. To be honest I hope cell phones pick this up down the road as I could see it being useful there as well.
You can also tap them so they are like R2 and L2 buttons more or less.
(With stroking the back pad, how many want to bet we are going to see some kind of masturbation game come out for it?)
I think it is very clever, and we are going to see many great uses of it. NPG if it does anything it is that it takes all the stuff we are use to and just does it all very well. From the rumors and talks it sounds like it will be priced right as well. I was never a fan of the PSP since it felt incomplete to me, granted it was Sony's first handheld so I cut them some slack.
Like any system what will make or break it is price and software. Right now at least it sounds like ...
I hope that is the case but I still have high doubts about this being used to make a gaming experience that people want. At the end of the day it is still a very limited device and needs lots of clever code to make it use the information correctly to translate in to gameplay.
Its like all those cool concept cars you see, they are cool but at the end of the day not very piratical and consumer viable. I worry people are getting there hopes up just because of some tech demos an...
Umm no, they are two very different things, i'd rather have cross game chat in a heart beat. Even so to keep those saves you have to stay a PS+ Member.
It is still a very good and useful addition but not in comparison to cross game chat. Only save I lost was Demon Souls when my PS3 died. Its usefulness depends on how much you use other PS3s and how many copy protected games you play.
If you like RTS games RUSE works very well with move, much better then a standard controller does.
