both of you are wrong.
If you want to know approx how much more powerful the consoles are, then you need a defined and consistent gauge.....I prefer FLOPS (graphical calculations).
PS3 cpu & gpu = approx 400 Gflops.....PS4 cpu & gpu = approx 1,900 Gflops (1.9 Teraflops)
XBOX 360 cpu & gpu = approx 350 Gflops.....XBONE = 1,400 Gflops
--PS4 is almost 5 times as powerful as PS3
--XBOX One is 4 times as powerf...
lol
bubble for the funny.
Would be even funnier if it turned out to be true.
@Pandamobile
"Um, no. Crysis was one of the best FPS games of the last decade."
I certainly disagree.
You might be forgetting that console players got to play Crysis as well....maybe with not all of the graphical flare and polish that your PC can deliver, but with all of the gameplay intact.
Crysis was boring.
But PC gamers have already had their great AAA Budget exclusive for 2013......
SIM CITY.
Master Race, indeed.
There's no real set in stone amount, as the term AAA Budget is fairly arbitrary, but I've always thought of AAA Budget as being approx $50 million or so.
Dang...that's alot of money.
I don't even know if you can consider it indie anymore. It's almost "AAA Budget" at this point.
Just out of curiosity, did they say if this game was going to the 8th gen consoles or not?
Mabey in the sequel, mabey it becomes a story of resisting that green hybrid junk, and trying to turn everyone back.
Just a thought.
*shrug*
Yeah, but when designing the XBOX One, it was purposely made to do OFF-gaming tasks as a priority.
Thus, it can't be a shock to Microsoft that the XBOX One is lesser powered than the PS4.
The majority of people do not have internet or their computers hooked into their televisions.
Some of those people might enjoy some porn on their big screens or on their TV in their bedrooms.
Hey.......who am I to judge?
*shrug*
PC is obviously not perfect..... It has its own downsides too.
Everything does.
Apple had a chance in the mid 90's...... they squandered it.
Was called the PIPPEN.
Look it up.
Even if Rockstar does eventually bring GTA 5 to the PC, it would still be late, and thus, SECOND CLASS treatment.
Rockstar doesn't even care enough about PC gaming to be bothered bringing it on time.
Rockstar isn't the only one either.
I'm sorry but it is what it is.
This is Activision.
They thrive on these kind of rip offs.
I disagree.
I very much enjoyed the character dialog of BAD COMPANY, it was very well written. Such as when they go off on tangents about predator or pizza. It was almost TARANTINO'esque.
BF3 campaign, on the other hand, it was just very boring.
Microsoft spinning the XBOX brand into its own company, I actually see it as a plus for gamers.
Why?
Because I get the feeling that alot of the bad decisions with XBOX are because of Microsoft Corp.
With XBOX or Microsoft GAMES left alone with no more interference from Microsoft Corp, the XBOX division can flourish by concentrating solely on video games, instead of, for example, trying to merge XBOX with Windows ecosystems...... not to mention, trying to mandate other ...
"(We already know that Sony is using a more developed disc drive, maybe relevant, maybe not?) "
.
.
I hadn't heard of this.
Do you happen to have a link to that?
I'd be interested in reading about it.
Thanks.
It's harder for people to spend $500 for a console when they can spend $400. It's even doublely hard when the $400 console is considered the more powerful one.
I predict the XBONE will be first to issue a price drop in 2014.
You're not playing GTA 5.....not on your PC.
Rockstar treats PC gaming as if it's second class.
Sorry.
@KiLLUMiNATi_89,
I have a question.......well, maybe it's more of an observation.
For the 7th gen, it was the PS3 that had more games that used dedicated servers for gameplay. Games like MAG, RESISTANCE 1, RESISTANCE 2, KILLZONE 2, WARHAWK, STARHAWK, DUST 514, DC UNIVERSE, and others.
I remember that XBOX 360 fans said they didn't care, and some even claimed that dedicated servers weren't important at all.
Why is...
