Actually in Darksiders, what I noticed in many of the shots, is the PS3 version had better texturing but also had a bit more jagies.
In comparison the XBOX 360 had more blur overall (I assume that's the AA effect) but the blur seemed to rob some of the texture.
Blow it up to HD and then Look at the forehead in this shot
I'm not against it or shooters, but since I'm a player of all genres, I tend to play, well...a little of everything.
So, pretty recently I played COD MW2 on my nephews XBOX 360, and I delve into the single player campaign. Long story short, its pretty good...I like it. The story sort of jumps around, but it is enjoyable. The voice acting graphics and the presentation is all good. Other than plot ho...
I though everyone knew that.

"Yep, I never tried but I don't need to try M.A.G to know that the masses won't gravitate to it. The same way you don't have to play Heavy Rain or LBP to know that its not gunna be a HUGE seller."
LBP?
What?
I dub it "The Bioshock treatment".
As far as I'm concerned, I feel that if you're gonna release a game on multiple systems, the games should be released EVENLY across the respected platforms...no extra DLC for one and not the other, no extra content for one and not the other, and at the same time, and that goes for XBOX 360 games and PS3 games. When 2 people who have different consoles spend $60 on said game, its the same $60, right?
From my understanding,...
This isn't the kind of game that should NOT have a staggered regional release. This is a world renown popular game that is just as popular in Japan as in Europe and should release their at the same time, and then obviously in America as well.
It has taken a long time, but a simultaneous summer release is fine for me.
How far did you get and About when did you play?
Just curious on your take. I'll Pm you.
thanks.
There's 2 good reasons for this.
1. In my opinion, while consoles are always behind the best consumer graphics tech (PC), it isn't as far behind as it was last generation. Consoles today are keeping up relatively well. Why, because as far as tech goes, It has hit a ceiling. The benefits we are seeing from better hardware are only delivering incremental improvements....diminishing returns if you will.
2. In spite of everyone who insist Microsoft should come out with the...
It wasn't too long ago that the price for pretty much all PS3's was $400 and even more before that.
Currently the entry price point has become more accessible, but still $300 is still a good chunk of change, especially when you have to buy games, accessories and factor in tax. It's still a bit of a barrier for alot kids in America because their parents aren't gonna be too keen on spending $400+, especially if they've already bought their bastard kid an XBOX or Wii already and sp...

exnihilonihilfit said, "I'm not one to disparage the Xbox, Reach and ME2 are going to be awesome, but that GOWIII will be flat out amazing is undeniable, and It's sad that so many people won't be able to appreciate the game just because they feel like it threatens the system to which they are more loyal."

Also, the most important factor, imo, is this game is made by QUANTIC DREAM. QD have a solid history (good) and track record (also good) for their games. In fact, they have a similar type game Indigo Prophecy/Farenheit which went on to capture some critical acclaim.
So what we're looking at, is a game that seems to expand on its "cousin" if you will, with more know how from the dev., larger budget, more advanced hardware, and a more mature theme/plot.

We don't know that....unless we've actually played the game....even a little.
This could be the defacto AIAS game of the year and/or contender for all we know. Considering that this game dares to do something different, especially for consoles, it could very well happen...something along the lines of LBP when it won its GOTY....because it was different....because it DARED to be different. To me, Heavy Rain sounds eerily familiar in that regard.
I personally have hi...
If Sonyslave3's got big TA TA's,
I might definitely MIGHT.
:P
But this was honestly a solid show.
I've heard some people's gripes about headlines, and other points of contention, but I think people should take things as they are and judge them for themselves. In other words, and in this case, one show at a time.
There was some weekly news recaps, commentary, rumors, a new game for review, a dev. interview (good interview btw)......a solid showing overall.
Some HHG shows you might like, some you might hate....this ...
Because you recognized arguing over game DEVELOPERS and EXCLUSIVE GAMES is an apple and oranges argument to that of EXCLUSIVE DLC.
Thanks for at least TRYING to get everyone back on track.
Unfortunately the "troll-force" runs strong on this topic and the derailing of what should be the actual topic will not be stopped...unfortunately.
Bubble for you though.
ERROR POST...my bad
Maybe I'll fill this with something else...something fitting and troll worthy since that seems to be fitting and logical around these parts, especially on topics like these.
Or have one of those warranties. I think even Target sells a 3 year Warranty for like 30 to 50 bucks...I'm not a big believer in buying warranties though.
At any rate, I've told people alot of times...I used to work for a big electronics retailer a few years ago, and the one thing I learned, is to NEVER buy a new product when it first comes out. You should always wait 1 year to a year and a half minimum. There's usually bugs/problems in first run products, they're usually more...
So you are telling me you find it hard to understand how it could sell 5 to 6 hundred thousand units around Christmas time?
I'm confused at your confusion.
Because I too have Half Life 2 for PS3 (The Orange Box), as it was one of the first games I bought 1 year and a few days ago along with my PS3.
The game is great. I'll go so far as to say, it is quite possibly the BEST $20 title (THE ORANGE BOX) on the PS3 still.
Because of the popularity of PS1, when Sony announced the PS2, many people outright refused to buy Dreamcasts.
The mere mention of the PS2 caused major damage to Sega's Dreamcast.
This I remember clearly.
