It really isn't hard to allocate 10 to 20 guys to do other games and projects....internal multitasking.
Companies do this everyday.
Technologically, the XBOX 360 is a whole year older, not only that, but the Cell Processor can do things that virtually no other consumer CPU can do, namely, graphics process and graphics render by itself.
I know you don't want to think of XBOX 360 as inferior or anything like that, but you have to call truth what it is.....
XBOX 360 is older technology than the PS3.
That doesn't mean XBOX 360 doesn't have some good games, because it has some great games...

Take Bayonetta for example...There's nothing about Bayonetta that can't be done on the PS3. The lack of technical parity is because Sega and/or Platinum Games were negligent in doing a good job.
In the case of Aladdin...better yet, because I remember Maddden more clearly, lets use MADDEN for Genesis. Those Madden games were always superior on the Genesis BECAUSE Genesis had a significantly more powerful processor Than the SNES and Madden couldn't be done as well on the Nintendo...
If you have customer "A" that pays $60 for said game, and then you have customer "B" that pays $60, both customers, A and B, should be getting the same experience...it was the same money right?
Not only that, but creating a difference instead of parity can tarnish said developers reputation if the game in question is technically under performing on a particular platform, and that doesn't bode well for any game makers rep. or bottom line.

Also, in Battlefield, if you run and gun and try and "lonewolfe", you'll end up on your back most of the time because teams/squads will pwn you almost everytime.
I'm playing the demo to BBBF2 now and I played in the beta in NOV-DEC...and the new changes in demo have strategically moved the game even more towards teamwork play. You get way more points by helping teammates and if your team wins (serving ammo, serving medpacks, fixing machinery, reviving, etc)
Oh well. :(

When I bought my PS3 for $400, I very much assumed I was buying the "more powerful" console, just as those who bought it for $600 at launch I sure assumed the same.
And for the record...
We were all right.
The game was clearly a rip off of a better game and had PS2'ish graphics...higher resolution, but PS2'ish graphics nonetheless.
I will say, that based on the demo, 6.5 would be a little low though...I would have given the game a 7.
Conversely, I thought Bayonetta (again based on the demo) was an 8 and I'm expecting GOD OF WAR 3 to be a 9.
I'm harsh on the top end, but fair. *wink*

Microsoft has a few 1st party studios.
But none of the last 3 are.
Remedy is not "like" a first party because they've only ever made 3 games ever, and 2 of them have been on Playstations.
Epic is certainly not a first party because they make PS3 games. In fact, one of their studios made FAT PRINCESS....I'm betting neither Jason 360 nor Counter Strike knew that. *wink*.

However, Gears 2 was NEVER a technical marvel.
You may like Gears 2's graphics better....nothing wrong with that that is an opinion.
However, Killzone 2 was the TECHNICAL MARVEL for all consoles until Uncharted 2 arrived...that isn't an opinion, that is a fact.
Since Gears 2 uses Unreal Engine 3, there is no argument to be made.
But if you are gonna claim "HEY EVERYBODY LOOK AT ME, I'VE HAX'ED THE PS3...YEAH"
