I think Japan numbers are small because there hasn't been a price drop here yet. Except for the one that happened before release, but that doesn't really count. We're paying about $50 less for the 60GB, but there is no 80, and the 20GB stinks.
And everyone here is waiting for Final Fantasy, GT5, and Metal Gear. Once these hit the numbers will rise.
...but I didn't disagree with your comment. There's nothing spectacular about Sony's failure to destroy Microsoft. The sales numbers are about the same.

If by "spectacular failure" you mean, "in exactly the same spot in sales as the 360 was after 10 months", then I totally agree with you.
But you're right. It kind of sucks that rumble was taken away only to brought back again. But as long as the new controllers are the same price, I don't think anyone will really complain.
Well, they usually attend, but not in any official capacity, and they usually don't tell anyone until the last minute. The Wii remote was unveiled at TGS.
Some people think that the TGS is basically a Sony mouthpiece, and that's why Nintendo isn't really interested in the show.

But I don't understand why they consider team play something new in the FPS world. The PC version of BF2 is a perfect example of teamwork kicking consistent ass. If you had a squad acting together, they would destroy everyone who came up against them (unless the enemies were also working together in a squad).
The only difference is that in Army of 2 you are forced to team up and in BF2 you were free to do what you liked.

This game is probably the best game I have ever owned. I'm almost finished the pure exploration part, but every time I go in I find something new.

It is always possible that the gameplay will suck for other reasons, but it will not be because of destructible environments. Think about how annoying it is now when you chase someone down only to have them hide behind a window shutter and hit you from their indestructible cover. In this game, all you have to do is shoot a rocket at the floor below, and say good-bye to the 13-year-kid with the mouth of a sailor.
