I'm not saying that hacking the Ps3 is impossible (or COD4 on PS3), because anything can be hacked.

But it would likely be easier to just make a "PS3 mod" for the PC. In fact, it would be stupidly easy to make a mod. You just have to make a bunch of new icons that match the PS3 ones, and plug them in, and voila! Everyone thinks you are playing the PS3 version.

This hack could be real, and if so, I'd like to know how it works. But historically speaking, it's mo...

Maybe, but Japanese kids aren't any different from American kids.

In FPSs like COD4 (for PS3 anyway), people are much quieter than on English servers for the most part. Most people (usually) only talk about tactics in game.

But when a younger kid starts playing, it's like Halo. Racist crap, stupid music, etc. Not every kid, obviously, but you only need one to ruin a game.

COD4 is doing great in Japan, but it's not a typical US FPS because it has an actual story. FPSs that are good do well, ones that are mediocre don't.

Just like RPGs in the West, I think.

"Small-minded idiot?"

See? That's what I meant. If you want to be treated like an adult, act like one. You could have said what you wanted without resorting to childish name-calling. Open zone.

p.s. Showing off your "qualifications" is meaningless online.
p.p.s. Your understanding of business is somewhat simplistic. Stick with nursing school.

"A) If you have the money and they charge for the maps; Buy Them!!!
B) IF you dont have the money and they charge for the maps; Dont buy them!!!"

It has nothing to do with having money, it has to do with the principle. Others get great content for free, and I want the same thing. If they don't offer the maps for free, I'll stop playing COD4, and will buy UT3. I'm okay with this, why do you care so much about why I care?

Maybe you've never played a r...

How is what I'm saying whining? I want free stuff, or I want the ability to make it myself. If I can do it on the PC, I should be able to do it on a console.

If we stop buying this worthless DLC crap, one of two things will happen. Either they will stop making or they will start making it worth the money.

Again, I repeat myself by saying this but obviously you haven't read the whole thread, I'm not saying that DLC is bad, I'm saying that 4 maps or a few extra weapons...

If you pay, they'll keep selling them. If you refuse to pay, then either we'll get them for free one day, or someone will hack the systems properly ('360 or PS3) and we'll be able to use mods.

Either way, we win.

/ Even I say this, and I hate hacking for the purpose of stealing games.

You work as a 3d mapper/modeller and you disagree? I find that hard to believe.

For a complete modification like Project Reality or Forgotten Hope (for BF2), you're right. It takes a long time to get everything together.

But if you can use the same statics, same weapons, and same animations, you can make a new map in 8 hours. I don't care how different the location is, you can reuse most of the statics.

Now, I must say that I agree that most fan-made con...

I understand what you mean, but I have to repeat myself to explain.

(I said this in another thread, sorry.)

I can make you a brand new map for COD4 in 8 hours for the PC. I have the tools. I have most of the statics I need, and I can borrow statics from other modders. Most PC gamers are used to getting free mod content from like-minded people who are interested in expanding the games they love.

COD4 is a game I love. The campaign is emotionally devastati...

Yes to everything you wrote. Consoles game publishers should either start offering mod tools, or give out maps for free.

Like I said in the other thread yesterday, for REAL content, I don't mind paying. Coop, new campaign missions, etc, are all great things that I would spend money on.

But I won't pay for maps.

Co-op maps, not co-op single player. I'm not interested in playing with my friends at my house, I want to play the multi-player maps against bots.

Don't confuse the fanboys with people having a normal conversation about a game they like.

That sucks dude. I can't even guess what's causing these glitches. Have you tried setting up a new account in a different region and seeing if it happens with that too?

6591d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

It would be nice if we got them for free, but I'm not going to hold my breath. I would pay for co-op, though.

EDIT: And jets and helicopters.

Bah, who am I kidding? I want BF2 for PS3.

I'm still wondering how much they will cost.

I'd be totally willing to pay if they added some extra functionality on top of the maps - like single-player co-op, or an extra mission or two - but I won't pay for something that takes a 12 year old kid 8 hours to make for the PC version.

I'm willing to pay for content, but not silly content.

EDIT: This story is what I'm talking about! http:/...

I got a console so I wouldn't have to deal with hackers, but if the PS3 itself has been hacked, it won't be long before people are using aimbots and the like.

Oh well. If it's true, I guess I'll have to stick with single player games.

When will I get the love? I was too late for the Metal Gear Online beta, too Japanese for Home, and now I'm too Sony for BF:BC? Man, I suck.

Or it could stink. I think it's definitely an interesting concept, and I'd buy it to check it out if it were available.

If you look just above the left shift key on your keyboard you will find a key with "Caps Lock" written upon it. Pressing this key will make other people happy. (In some countries you have to hold the shift key at the same time as you press caps lock.)

This is just advice, because writing completely in capital letters is considered rude and boorish in English.

Thank you for reading, have a pleasant day.

The update only took me about 5 minutes to download in Japan. I don't think there's anything big hidden in there.
