"Jap" isn't a nice word. Is it really that hard to add 5 more letters?
I think that the Aztec PS3 fanboys may be angrier.
"your thinking about China but then again they have 3 billion."
What!?!?
"there is something like 2 billion people over there."
Is this a joke?
It celebrates the original heart of GTA, which was seeing how many pedestrians you could run down in a row, NOT trying to take over a city.
I agree with this dude completely. The first GTAs were fun, and the next games were serious. They have been very cool games, (full disclosure: GTAIV hasn't been released here yet so I haven't played it) but they have been way too serious.
Like Cyndi Lauper, I just wanna have fun.
I still don't know how long the campaign for this is. If it's a long single-player campaign, I would consider getting one version for graphics, and another for the Wii fun, but if it's short, I'D just get the Wii version.
Woah. Dude. Relax. It ain't worth getting a hernia.
COD5 has probably been developed for about a year now. With a completed engine, that isn't rushed.
Do you understand the meaning of the word "theatre" when it refers to war?
I thought that this was "News For Gamers" not "Uninformed and biased opinions from absolute nobodies who want to be internet celebrities".
Apparently I was wrong.
That's the problem. GTA is very popular in Japan, and it hasn't been released here yet. And we all know the difference in numbers between XBOX360 and PS3 in Japan.
When it has been released in Japan as well, then we will know who "won" the GTA war.
p.s. I don't actually care. I just hate when everyone gives statistics that are meaningless.
The box art for River Raid made me SO angry. I remember looking at it and thinking about how cool it would be to fly the jet underneath the bridges, all the while dodging helicopters and stuff.
Then I discovered it was a lame 15 pixel blob that moved up a blue path that changed directions by 5 degrees every once in a while, and which was attacked by other 15 pixel boxes pretending to be helicopters, ships, and other jets.
Because of River Raid, I stopped playing vide...
I'll still get it. I play COD3 (Oh my God!) for my multiplayer fix. I don't need no multiplayer jedi battles.
I have four different accounts. Two Japanese ones, one UK one, and one Canadian one. Are they counting account numbers or PS3 numbers?
Okay, we don't have to argue about it, but there is nothing fun (or revolutionary) about two armies running at each other over open ground whether it's between trenches or in a field. There were some interesting campaigns that showed how war would become more efficient (I can't use the word "better" when talking about people killing each other). But the sheer lack of imagination on the part of the leaders led to millions more dying than should have.
Nothing can be said ...
I think maybe it could be considered boring due to the utterly retarded style of warfare. I'm guessing it wasn't meant as a slag against the people who died, more against the people who were in charge.
Fighting from one trench to another could be fun for one map. But a WWI FPS would have 15 levels of trenches in the single player campaign, and 25 different trench multiplayer maps, and there would be one tank map/level where everyone dies at the end, and one flying level where 33...
Well to be fair, COD4 made a new benchmark for online console gaming, not online FPS in general.
Don't get me wrong, I love COD4, but I'd like to see something that looks more like the immense battles of the BF series, with the great storyline and graphics of COD4.
BF2 is still miles ahead of COD4 in terms of in game options, map sizes, etc... Hell, BF1942 is still ahead of COD4 in terms of options.
Did Total War take a big step backwards by going back to the Roman era after starting with the Warring period in Japan? No..
Not all of us like modern shooters, and some of us hate them. I like the limitations of WWII weaponry, it makes the game a little more believable.
(I games like Resistance and Halo for the story, but hate the multiplayer because of the silliness of the weapons. Gimme a Garand or Kar98 any day.)
I will check out Brothers in Arms,...
...so apparently I'm the only person in the world who's still interested in WWII shooters?
That's cool. Don't worry Treyarch, you still have one customer. Just make the single player longer than 5 hours, please.
Okay, I hate getting into these fanboy number arguments, but I just want to make sure this argument doesn't die out (stir the pot a little.)
GTA is huge in Japan, and the XBox isn't. GTAIV hasn't been released in Japan yet. When it is released, almost every copy sold will go to PS3. Therefore, PS3 will win the stupid fanboy numbers war for GTA.
Maybe.
I'll believe it when I see it.
