i think it's a less commercial game than fallout 3 though, at least theres been a lot less info about it. if i asked 1 of my more casual friends they would prob say they'd heard of F3 but not new vegas.
but anyway, really looking frwd to this. fallout 3 was great but i never played the originals so i'm looking frwd to playing a game where the creators are telling the story.
it's kinda getting mixed reviews. some sites seen to tollerate the negative points more than other though. it's still looking like a great game though
not really when you consider most games that were developed on ps3 first look better multiplat games than the multiplats where 360 was lead.
got this tbh and enjoying the games so far. world of goo is really addictive. feel kinda bad since i didn't really contribute anything, but atm a bit tight for cash lol
quite funny when you consider it was Activision who was saying they'd drop support for ps3 unless it got a big price drop etc etc cus it wasn't selling enough to bother publishing games for
that is a nice list haha but i very much doubt we'll see many games from it.
some we prob will:
GT5 - they say it's deffo coming this year. heard it before but hopefully they mean it this time so E3 should provide a ton of info including a solid release date
Agent - after the title (wouldn't even call it a teaser) last year i really hope to see a new trailer for this including gameplay and a rough release date.
KZ...
well 1 will be like normal about the new games etc and the other will just be so they can go on about natal. i'm kinda worried sony's is just gonna be taken up by move tbh. battle of the motion controls is not really something that i'm looking frwd to
haha good little list. really looking frwd to this game. single player looks interesting but most importantly fun, and multiplayer just looks such a good laugh.
will have to see what the service offers tbh but if there is some sort of premium service that perhaps includes bonuses like so many rentals of psn games or something, i'd be tempted (for the right price, i mean i'm already paying £40 a year on live lol)
it makes sense though.
a few years back developers made games for 360 and ported to ps3, often resulting in poor ports on the ps3. as the devs got more experienced the ps3 versions got much closer to the 360 and in some cases surpassed the 360.
pretty much though, developing for the ps3 first and then porting to the 360 ensures that both versions are just as good as each other.
although i'd love to play it with the graphics of today i'd much rather focus be on improving new games in the franchise or even new ip's than spending time on a remake.
yeh but IGN's score for this game isn't far off the metacritic average
looking frwd to playing this next week. the stories looking really good (so i really hope some idiot doesn't spoil it) but my only concern is a few reviews have said the combat can be a bit repetative at times. it seems more of a rent game for me with it being single player only and i'm not too sure how much reply value there will be.
yeh. i dont mind tbh but then i always get games i want new and at launch. and i suppose ppl who wanna save a bit and get the game pre owned don't have to buy the DLC if they don't wish to
lionhead are inhouse but yeh, bungie were always a 3rd party dev.
even so, they might as well have been a 1st party. i think they got rather comfortable with the halo brand and how big it was for ms so stuck with it but a few games on the (main) story has been rapped up and they fancy doing something new.
i'm all for seeing what they pull off next. ppl could argue about how halo's amazing etc etc but it's still the same franchise. yes it has lots of tweaks and change...
well if i was just gonna buy 1 i'd get BoGT. will prob get round to buying both over summer tho
yeh, match made in heaven tbh. that has to happen surely. fingers crossed anyway
mixed reactions tbh, but this is massive news.
Bad cus Activision has been going downhill recently with milking franchises, the whole problems with IW etc
but good because it means whatever Bungies new ip is, it will be multiplatform (which would have been expected) and should get a lot of support from their publishers
Indeed, Gran Turismo as a brand is more than simply a video game. Even the Nissan GT-R had it's multifunction dashboard designed by PD to create a dash similar to the one seen in the gran turismo series.
The series has always been popular, and GT5 in particular is getting much more interested recently as a release date edges closer
i quite enjoyed the gamplay and customisations etc but i remember when playing the beta the load times as well as lag in the lobby area was pretty bad. the frame rate also felt pretty slow for a racing game.
it was a shame because it was a game that looked great on paper but after playing the beta i was unfortunately put off.
