Value for money could mean it's expensive, but not for the cost of making it... e.g. the ps3 at 599 was said to be good value because of all the stuff inside it such as the bluray player. So Kinect could very well be good value, but still expensive

I know mates who play games a fair bit but i wouldn't class them as 'hardcore' gamers, but i reckon they will be unsure at this moment in time about what it is they need to play move games.
Also it gets really confusing when a kid tells their parents that they want 'move' for xmas and then the parent stands in GAME thinking wtf do i need to buy? lol

nah i agree, for several reasons....
1) The only TM game i've played was Head On for the psp (so not been a follower of the franchise)
2) It looks very rough around the edges. Yes i know it's early days but seeing a helicoptor fly into a building and the building explode and dissapear instantly reminded me of the ps2 days.
The gameplay looks fun, but i just think for such a big playstation brand it has nothing on some of sony's other games...

Well it already seems to be getting a lot of pre orders which honestly surprises me. In the future it might be something that interests me because the ideas are good, but the launch line up is awful imo. It's just casual/fitness/dance games. I wonder who is pre ordering though because i wudda thought any pre orders at this stage would be from the 'hardcore' gamers wanting their hands on the latet tech, but theres no hardcore games releasing at launch :S
Reasonable temps tbh. I mean my cpu is currently running at around 50C not doing much (although tbh could do with a clean haha after a clean it runs more around 40C lol)

yeh lol was gonna say, it's a known issue that they're currently urging the community to share their experiences of it to help resolve it. It seems pretty clear what causes it though, which is getting the killstreaks, but why it works sometimes and not others is still to be found out. I'm sure they will fix it and there will most likely be a patch within the week (they've already fixed the temp freeze when you get killed)
This is a known issue that they are currently working on. The admins are even asking people on the beta forum to post info about the issue to help them resolve a fix...
i am surprised this wasn't picked up and fixed before the beta started though as well as the second freeze that happens when you get killed (although this has been fixed and will be available in the first beta patch)
well i would be interested, but as mentioned in the bonus round, no one is 100% sure what the package includes! right now i'm worried of subscribing but just not getting good enough content.
I do think pachters right though about slowly getting ppl onto psn+ which will eventually lead us to have a similar system to gold/silver on xbl except of course standard psn users can still play online games etc but psn+ will provide users with the extra stuff the more 'hardcore&...

still unsure about the character changes however if these are taken from ingame then the graphics look much improved. Can't wait to see more of this game

- vehicles only in some modes (and only 1 vehicle available on helmand)

- offensive/defensive killstreak system
- movement is much faster than bfbc2
Would make ense but wonder how they will do it. We've heard in the past how they don't wanna have a browswer for the system so perhaps they just have a limited search engine?
