didn't see that coming haha good news though
gotta say, i was really impressed by nintendo. I've never really been a fan of nintendo and only owned a game boy colour, but i imagine if you are a nintendo fan that conference was awsome. I mean even i'm not contemplating getting a wii this xmas and picking up goldeneye amongst other games
hmmm i know it will have trouble in the uk atm. I'm only on Virgins 10mb at home with 'unlimited downloads' however if you download over 1.5gb at peak times your internet speed gets capped to 2.5mb. This would be a big problem when streaming HD games i imagine...
some people will just see psp2 and instantly click the source link. an E3 trailer and screenshots of psp2 is surely news ppl would wanna see asap so may miss the details
was just thinking the same lmao
Although the name is similar the article is complete fail:
"Is it a mere coincidence that Microsoft has officially labled their “controller free” motion technology for the Xbox 360 “Kinetic” when Sony has released a motion control game by the same name 5 years ago?"
but microsoft didn't name natal 'kinetic' they named it 'kinect' lol please research next time, although i do agree that the names are similar but could just be a coi...
"I am guessing the regular haters just want to get fat while pretending to be superheroes with a pad on the couch, like always. "
lmfao are you serious? So your saying if you don't play fitness video games you can't keep fit. omg lol i mean for me personally i prefer to go swimming and the gym once or twice a week and play football with friends but i guess i should just accept that i'm gonna get fat becuase i don't play fitness video games.
...
yeh EA was certainly the best imo. Some good solid games shown and nice little announcements such as the MoH beta starting this week.
Ubisofts showed off some good stuff but too much kinect and fitness games for my liking. I guess it was some variety though.
Microsofts was the best put together but completely lacked content. A decent show but no real memorable moments or times when i got excited going 'omg' like in past years when MGR was unveiled and...
4 player co-op which is good news. Tbh it looks good and will obv pick up up at launch to play co-op with friends, but it didn't blow me away like seeing the first Gears game did. A solid game no doubt but guess i set my expectations too high
deffo agree with that. Sure it's nice of MS to give the audience free 360's, but how the hell does that impress me?? i watched a show that left me wondering where the games for me were. I guess this is how the 'hardcore' nintendo crowd feel each year lol
Erm... well i didn't get a 360 slim so ms giving them out to the press doesn't really make me applaud them. They're giving something for free to the people who after the show go off and write about their opinions on it...
"I could see, in a squad bases shooter making your team-mates duck simultaneously by shouting “Grenade!” or the like, or addressing squad mates by name to change their behavior pattern."
so voice commands seems to be what impressed this guy the most... well you can do that with a headset... i mean look End War or even socom back on the ps2. Voice commands in games is nothing new and can be done without natal.
Before today i was optimistic about what...
"It was good. Better than MS's conference."
I was thinking the same. Lots of good footage and some nice little announcements.
- gonna keep an eye on need for speed
- can't wait to try the medal of honor beta that's only a week away
- dead space 2 is looking good
- if it's reasonably priced will look into bfbc2 vietnam
- Gonna keep an eye on MMA although if i was gonna buy any mma game this year it woul...
It would be easy to say no and be branded a ps3 fanboy, but honestly i think sony and nintendo will have to have shockers. Well organised conference and nice to watch but they gave no big announcments what so ever. Rather than talking about all the great content like past years, me and my friends are just stunned thinking 'what was actually announced??' so so bare in comparisson to last years and very worrying on the exclusive games front + launch titles for Kinect imo.
no. the 'other conference' is simply the natal conference from last night being broadcast on mtv and later on gametrailers.
couldn't believe it when the conference ended. I was like wtf, i was expecting a big surprise at the end like every other conference
"How will Sony top this?"
by showing a killer line up. Giving away the new model free to the audience is a nice gesture but how does that provide me with anything good...
it just seems to me like buying the audience after giving what was imo a rather poor conference. It was well put together as always but they didn't have the killer announcements like past years.
The new xbox 360 is all well and good but all it does is fix what ...
said that when i watched it. just looks like mw2, waw and cod4 lol so the last 3-4 years of COD haha
i'm sure it will be fine but i wanna c what the mp is like. I am getting bored with the series now though
not exactly the metal gear we're used to but looks pretty cool. no doubt you can also use move on ps3.
anyway, i was actually shocked when the conference finished thinking is that it???
i mean the new 360 looks cool but all it does is add wifi + bigger hard drive. It simply corrects things that should have been fixed a long time ago in cheaper wi-fi + cheaper hdd's.
also no kinect price... :|
Compared to last year mx ...
Sony has a real chance here to try and get the gamers who are interested in motion contols but have been put off in the past by 'party' or 'kiddie' games on the wii.
I think 1 of my dream announcements for E3 would be Bethesda announcing Elder Scrolls VI complete with move controls
you get an updated version of the game for free with the limited edition of dead space 2...
