The freedom to take the completely non-biased media's version of things as undisputed truth, then amplify it, sure is great.
That is in fact the very opposite of freedom; slavery.
Moving is good and doing other good stuff is also good. Amazing study.
They should do a research study on why research studies tend to be such a massive waste of time, and why people conducting said studies fail to be a "positive contributor to our society".
Yes, let's blame GTA4 rather than the massive failure of the parental figures involved (parents, teachers etc) and the society as a whole.
I suppose they should be happy he wasn't inspired by something like Gears of War, and started chainsawing people...
There's a tint of irony in trying to point out someone's "unnatural" attitude towards pictures of girls, while at the same time sounding completely obsessed with said pictures, don't you think?
As for the story, "I didn’t want to play because I have an addictive personality" is such a silly excuse for someone who gets paid lots and lots of money to portray a certain character. Next thing he'll stop reading the script in fear of getting addicted to reading.
Or the hype killed it, goes both ways.
For a game on every platform known to man, and probably some fictional ones too, that's hardly a great achievement.
"In this case, it's not that bad, just not as good as it could be." Sums up the game pretty well too.
Even if it somehow won't suck, it will still be labeled as a flop, since hating Uwe Boll is like a cultural phenomena. I suspect most people have never seen an Boll movie anyway.
The large companies selling without profit has nothing to do with not being greedy. Their sole purpose is to make money and as much of it as possible. Them being greedy, however, does not mean they are not intelligent, and as such, they understand that if they are too greedy, they end up with less money.
Intelligence and greed are not mutually exclusive. It is wisdom that teaches that perhaps it's fine to not take and take as much as possible, but that would require a conscience...
I actually hope they don't make a KOTOR MMORPG, at least not instead of a real KOTOR sequel/prequel. It really would have to be a single player game, with possibly some multi player elements like coop, to be KOTOR.
MMORPGs can be good games (if one looks beyond the many wasted hours on grinding and other pointless stuff), but they don't exactly do wonders storyline wise. If you look at World of Warcraft, the Warcraft lore is there and everything, but it doesn't really tell a good...
Because the story was reported on a site called "Nintendo Everything", where one would assume Nintendo fans/fanboys hang out. It was 65% for the wii when the story got reported on N4G, now it's up for the PS3/Xbox360 since that's the top demographic of N4G. The poll is a very poor indication of which is the biggest Timesplitters fanbase atm, and probably will be for a long time.
What better way to get people interested in your game than to fuel an all-out fanboy war... sigh.
Bittersweet Irony.
Trying to Force people to not do something, rather than giving them a better alternative, hasn't really been proven effective.
Having someone "step down" is the subtle way of firing someone basically. "The board had a meeting today and they think you should step down" etc...
Sounds a bit fishy that a co-founder and employee for 16 years would quit the company entirely just in order to allow someone else to take over a game project. Probably used as a scapegoat, along with having a new guy "focus on a variety of issues raised by players", in order to buy some time with the va...
Assuming you can actually directly give money to other players, which is not really a given considering how money is treated in Fable 2. I suppose you could gift lots of chocolates and dog toys tho.
They could track the actual use of the glitch, if it being intentional is the case I suppose.
Have to agree on the "screw graphics" part, sort of.
Graphics shouldn't have priority over gameplay, story, sound/music, not even art direction imo. Getting tired of how games are constantly being marketed as "amazing graphics" when that is generally the first novelty of a game to wear off.
Most of the best games (subjective) can easily get away with merely "adequate" graphics, just enough to present the rest of the elements into a comp...
Why is the related game "Too Human 2"? Just messes up the average score, for better or worse.
You are uncomfortable playing it now, but a simple renaming would change that?
Call a spade a spade.
Good that it came to this rather than a ban.
We should all be VERY careful about promoting censorship, no matter how good the cause may seem.
Hateful material is a symptom, not a cause, thus removing it will not solve much. It will however empower censorship and words can easily be manipulated to suit a purpose. Just look at how the word occupation became "liberation".
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary saf...
That is very cool, puts the good old money grind to shame.
