im fully aware of the quality of the games, but my point is about the value of the console. we are talking about what is essentially last gen technology.
regardless of whether the ps1, n64, wii etc had dozens of classics, the price of each of those consoles now is reflected by the age of the technology they contain. they are old and now cheap. they only hold value if they are boxed/new/mint condition, and even then they are not worth anything near their original full launch r...
no doubt the package is good, both games are AAA, but even at £299 it just doesnt seem worth it. the backpack goes straight in the bin obviously.
im not going to beat around the bush- the wiiu is old tech. why should anyone pay £300 for what are essentially last gen specs (ie little more than a souped up ps3) ?
i have a strong feeling nintendo are lumping in a massive 'fanboy tax' on the wiiu, that is, added cost because they know the fans ...

i feel like this new generation of consoles has been forced on consumers rather than a natural progression.
it seems like the manufacturers just want to make new hardware/software sales, so make consoles irrespective of their necessity.
the wiiu makes this especially clear since its not really 'new' tech, so it becomes clear the new console is a big opportunity for a major marketing/rebranding push
this game would actually make a great xmas gift... to your worst enemy
this is why nintendo are losing because they are selling weak gimmicks. and yes it is a weak gimmick when it defies all logic. when purchasing an amiibo one would expect the amiibo to have enough memory to store data for multiple games. it really is such a fail move that it renders the entire thing useless.

Sonic colours is the best sonic game i have played since sonic adventure 1 on dreamcast.
i dont know why sega keep trying to reinvent sonic when they have a winning formula in the original megadrive games.
sonic colours didnt stray to far from that formula which is why it works. its just a sonic game.
sonic boom, however... looks atrocious.

the only way they could polish this game is by destroying all the work in a large fire and starting again from scratch.
everything in that video indicates a game that is incomprehensibly appalling. so bad its comical. i would be offended if i paid for this game.i would be offeded if i were given this game as a gift. you wouldnt even give your worse enemy a game this bad.

the problem is that nintendo are trying to reinvent the wheel.
what at first seems like an innovation quickly becomes a novelty and eventually a gimmick. and they end up going back to the tried and tested methods of gaming.
i mean, look at the wii, everyone loved the wii when it first came out because it was offering something 'new', but eventually people started complaining about the 'waggle' and just wanted the old controller method back. <...
the entire controller is a waste of time. it distracts them from making good games. instead they try to find ways to incorporate silly pointless features into the games and the games suffer as a result.
i mean, look at nintendoland. what complete garbagel. its only justification for existing is nintendo had to make use of the controller. waste of time and energy that nintendo are paying for with poor sales.
the real reason why its on the 3ds is because the wiiu is a flop. they will only profit from the game being on the 3ds. putting it on wiiu would be like throwing money down a drain.
but yeh, obviously it would have been better on wiiu. they could have made the wiiu the ultimate console for zelda fans with wind waker hd, majoras mask hd, hyrule warriors and zelda wiiu, but due to appalling sales they have no choice but to put it on 3ds.

people argue zelda is a bigger or a 'different' game so isnt comparable, but uncharted is a HD game with a detail rich environment. so yes, it is smaller, but it is also more detailed, contains more complex character models and environments etc.
