The wiiu has a dozen good games, but the price of the console doesn't justify owning just those games. And obviously of those 12 games, they won't be everyone's taste, so in reality you get 6 games at most
Judging by the picture, the NX is about 5ft tall
you are right though, sony created a brand and ran with it. the name stayed the same, and the controllers kept their form. they simply built on it.
nintendo changed their branding every generation and completely went back to the drawing board with the controllers.
and nintendo wonder why they have lost their core fans. nintendo have no identity.
the way sony have stuck with the playstation brand and controller, shows how much they be...
nintendo are just greedy. they keep making their own custom media so devs have to pay them to produce the discs. and they probably only keep changing the controller in order for the consumer to have to buy more, instead of using their old ones.
in my opinion the nx will be dead on arrival if it isnt backwards compatible with the wiiu. and its looking likely that it wont be.
the wiiu is the worst hardware nintendo have produced since the virtual boy, and i would rather own the wiiu than the proposed idea of nx.
nintendo have been no good with form/function since the gamecube, in my opinion. they instead have gone for the cheapest option.
i mean look at the wii, its so ugly, just a white brick. absolutely minimal effort was put into its design. and the wiiu's controller is an abomination. nintendo dont seem interested in making aesthetically pleasing products. merely functional.
the same is true of their games of late. they are workman-like, the new super m...
Sounds like a bad idea. OK for a handheld, bit wack for a console
Sounds crap
what the hell were you doing to them? throwing them at the wall? pouring beer in them? i had mine for years with no problem, they were indestructible
ive been thinking about this and have come to the conclusion it would cost a lot more than the £49 nes mini.
first of all the n64 is more powerful. the games are more expensive. lastly, the controller would cost a lot more to manufacture.
i seriously think it would be around £120 for a n64 mini with 30 games. possibly £150.
its crap. if you read reviews on amazon for previous incarnations of these so called mini megadrive/genesis sytems, you will see the games are full of bugs, they slow down, the sound is poor. ie, its very poor emulation.
its also full of filler titles. titles just to make it look like a better deal.
the nes mini is great because its quality through and through. the package is better because they actually created a mini replica of the nes console and the ...
i completed pokemon go, blindfolded
i would not describe nintendo as desperate. they seemingly ignore most trends, only jumping aboard years later or whenever it suits them- when it is safe. they are the opposite of desperate.
the only thing that is desperate is this article.
nintendo are very deliberate and measured with their business decisions. the value of their company speaks for itself.
yes, like where to store all your obsolete consoles
if nasa could send man to the moon in 1969, im sure playstation backwards compatibility in 2016 is achievable.
pokemon go has changed the world. the world will never be the same again.
all history prior to pokemon go shall now be known as BPG. before pokemon go.
anyone who claims to know what direction nintendo are going is a liar
no. money is the most popular thing ever.
then pokemon go
pokemon go is nothing without pokemon. and pokemon is nothing without nintendo. so to say pokemon go's success shouldnt be attributed to nintendo is moronic. it has everything to do with nintendo.
if niantic made their own ip using the exact same 'gameplay' mechanics found in pokemon go, but with their own characters completely unrelated to pokemon and the pokemon universe- it would not have been a success.
pokemon go is a success because it...
is there consumer demand for what nintendo are offering? i dont think so.
people do like mobile gaming, but via smartphones. go to your local game store and there will be smartphones and tablets in the window- not handheld consoles. people are not going to adopt a second device. they will keep their phones and nothing else. nintendo can not compete.
and by putting such an emphasis on portability, it has come at the expense of the power as a console. why ...
