what's with the provocative headlines? stating 'facts' ... then you read on and it's some persons personal opinions. trash.
a wii upgrade isn't wii 2.
if that is the case, then sony are currently on ps3- version 4. or is that ps7?
..an exclusive price cut.
no point having good games on a console thats too overpriced to even consider buying.
wii sports= wii. it represents everything wii stands for.
its just like saying 'oh, wii fit didn't actually sell that many copies, it just came bundled with the balance board'
the wii was made for games like wii sports. games based around physical movement.
you know this anyway, you're just being argumentative.
when the wii first came out, everybody who wanted a wii, wanted wii sports. it showcases what the wii is about. if you don't understand that, then you dont understand the wii. it was about the 'experience.'
give credit where credit is due. wii sports is an amazing game. maybe in 10 years time people will give it the recognition it deserved. it sparked peoples imagination. got people gaming that wern't gaming before. if you don't appreciate that, then you simply aren't a true game...
are you crazy!? have you lost your mind!?
the wii is on top. get that into your head.
''friendly and civilized discussion...'' stfu is hardly friendly or civilized.
i'm comparing experiences between what i have played on wii and other consoles.
just my personal opinion that most of the 'acclaimed' ps and xbox games leave me with an empty feeling, they are soulless. i dont care if you agree or not, its my opinion.
the classics- mario, metroid, zelda etc.. you can't buy that level of quality and true gamer experience on a ps3 or 360.
it might sound like a good idea on the spur of the moment. but 2 years down the line, you will realise just how special those memories of mario galaxy and even twilight princess were. those are truly quality games. you actually feel enriched by them, better off.
but by all means, go ahead and sell it for the 'cheap' thrills of halo or even gta. t...
Are you sure? isn't there a 40gb? what about the sku that originally had an emotion engine inside? the one that was backwards compatible?
oh, and the earth isn't completely round, it bulges around the equator ;o)
edit: yes, i just checked, there was/is a 40gb version and a 60 gb version. wow including the 80 gb and the 160 gb versions, thats 4 sku's.. so far.
we will probably have a ps3 redesign at some point, they will probably tamper with that 7 or ei...
i have been taking more notice of sony's approach to technology on a whole. really confusing. and this confusion has spilt over onto their ps3s. multiple sku's.
if there is anything i HATE about this generation of consoles, its the fact that they are 'moving targets.'
the wii is stationary. you buy the same wii everybody else has. no confusion, its plain and simple.
Microsoft's 360 is traveling, there are several versions of that console. not too many ...
some people are mad at sony. they want a ps3, but because sony made such stupid decisions, its simply too expensive.
only people with more money than sense own a ps3 right now.
ps3= failing
so the general public opinion of a console is important. it says a lot about the ps3. i think its on its last legs, as a games console.
people always use to talk about the dreamcast and gamecube badly, even those who weren't 'in the know.' so i think the general public aren't clueless. the ps3 is a disappointment. it should have been on top.
FC system?
they offer nothing new. the biggest change i saw was to the dashboard, with the clock.
instead of accepting things aren't looking good for the ps3, they shoot the messenger. pathetic
sony fans blaming n4g for the ps3s poor performance.
thats like blaming the bbc news reporters for any bad news.
ps3 isn't doing good. accept it.
ps3 is looking really bad
it should come with no box. just a carrier bag.
it should be in pieces, you follow instructions written on your receipt that tell you how to assemble your ps3.
it should have a 10gb hard drive.
no controllers included.
that should cut costs.
and a hdmi socket can hardly be considered a drastic enough addition to classify it a second wii.
in my book, wii 2 would be a successor to the existing wii- ie a new cpu. not just a cosmetic change.
and i'm telling you now, if nintendo go the multiple sku route with the wii, i'm selling up and never playing a video game ever again.
