why is it that sex is such a taboo subject in video games. especially when there have been games based around the glorification of murder for years. is a simulated sex crime worse than a simulated murder?

in comparison to the (lets face it) main final fantasy series (eg- final fantasy 7,8,9 etc) yes, they are downsized.
they have their 'proper' final fantasy games, and we get these pathetic downsized games like crystal chronicles..
if this was the music industry, these games would be the B-side of the main single. not even that actually, just some experimental 'stuff' that is shoved on a mix tape and sold to fans who should know better.

You should have all the abilities that a human has. a human can walk and shoot at the same time, run and shoot and sure as hell can walk backwards and shoot simultaneously.
to call the lack of those abilities a 'gameplay mechanic' is absurd. a game having crap controls doesn't make it suspenseful, it just makes it a game with crap controls.
they should have been more ambitious.
obviously the context which the content is shown in makes a difference. it is a game (a pretty ill advised and conceived one at that) but it is a game.
in the same way you might get role playing adult entertainment (like porn) where the actors play out rape fantasies for the viewers 'pleasure.' obviously this sort of entertainment is questionable but it IS in the context of entertainment.
