Although local multiplayer is good, it's not as good as online. Online is just more practical, as we get older and have other responsibilities it's very difficult to get a group of you in the same room to play games for a few hours. Personally I can only manage that once every couple of months at the grand old age of 26 (27 next week :S) and it's just going to get worse.
I am quite surprised that the BIGGEST issue of couch-co-op hasn't been mentioned yet, lo...
I actually came into this article just to say EXACTLY that, you beat me to it lol
I got as far as reading that he joined a hacked server and already made my judgement. People on consoles got banned for being in hacked servers, it's fair that the same applies to PC, can't have one rule for one and one for the other.
I actively avoid hacked servers on the console version, it's REALLY easy to do so, so don't join the hacked server in the first place and you'll be fine.
Rumour had it that Capcom wanted Sony to pay for at least half of the development fees, which they refused, but Nintendo said they would as the 3DS sales were flagging.
I feel the same, I wish it was on Vita, but I play Toukiden, God Eater and Freedom Wars now, all Monster Hunting genre, all of them better quality than MH.
"You can hear the pathetic Vita fanboys crying when MH X was announced."
Personally, as a vita owner, I was crying with laughter at the jaggies, low quality textures, and the lack of any effort Crapcom put into this series anymore. And this is coming from someone who put hundreds of hours into the PSP versions and someone who wants MH to be relevant again, but the laziness of Crapcom make me happy it's on a portable I will never own so I will just continue pla...
I think this might be the first Fifa game i'm going to purchase, purely because of the women's teams. I want to support this decision as it's about time female players of any sport start to get noticed more, as they are just as talented as the men, and Fifa is a big enough franchise to give that exposure.
I can't stand the male football players, the tiniest gust of wind hits them and they fall over and start crying as if they have just been stabbed 20 times ...
Sony responded (found this on the BBC Watchdog site)
"We would like to thank BBC Watchdog for bringing these cases to our attention. Having reviewed the evidence, we have concluded that these appear to be fraudulent transactions, and further, unfortunately, the service received by both Mr Archer and Mr Lappin has fallen below the high standards we set for ourselves. We would like to apologise to them both, and will notify them that we have taken immediate action to rei...
For a little while (about 2months I think) Vita sponsored Marvels Agents of Shield in the UK, but after that they swapped the Vita for the PS4. That was the last time I saw a Vita advert on TV...
Whilst I slightly agree with you the US sales NEVER have US in the title, it should be one rule for everyone, not just what appears to be a singling out of anything non-American...
If this makes it onto the PS4/XB1 this will be a game changer. Twitch may be a great service but it just doesn't command the numbers that Youtube does, so if anyone is serious about streaming and getting ad revenue for it they will surely just use this.
The region has ALWAYS been in the URL though, doesn't take long to glance down and see EU in it. I do the same thing when I see PSN sale in the title, if it has US in the URL it isn't for me so I just move on...instead of moan like a few people have the last few weeks on ANY EU news/deals...
Rocket League DEFINITELY!! Even if you don't like cars or football (soccer for the Americans :P) it's just an immense amount of team based fun. I've been playing the beta pretty much non-stop, it's definitely got that "just one more go" vibe to it
I'll admit I bought into the Destiny hype twice (once buying the game, second buying the season pass) and both times I've been left wanting more. After reading this it seems like House of Wolves might be what I have been looking for all this time, dare I say I'm actually excited for it?
Roll on tonight so I can see if I can fall in love with Destiny!
This backward compatibility argument used by PC Gamers really grates on me. I can't play games made for Windows 95 (all on CDs/DVDs) on my old XP laptop, let alone my Windows 7 one, as the installers just refuse to open even if I try to run them in compatibility-mode as they are incompatible, so how does PC have unlimited backwards compatibility without having multiple OS's installed?!
The only way I've ever managed to get them to work is installing them on Linu...
but... Mods make games better!! /s
although, tbh, GTA Online public lobbies were full of idiots when it first opened, loads of cheaters with tanks ruining everyone's day. Hopefully it gets stamped out
"Important developments to be aware of (coming after 1.15):
» More server upgrades: Enhancing connectivity for all players and making the required changes to enable the release of the PS+ Edition and DRIVECLUB companion app.
» Private lobbies: Development of Private Lobbies for Multiplayer is ongoing alongside development of server improvements."
Quite possibly the 2 best bits of news in that article, I've wanted private l...
One of my work colleagues sold his iphone 4 for £200 with a broken screen just because it had Flappy Bird installed on it...don't underestimate peoples stupidity lol
So Sega can resub the game with Chinese subs, but can't work out how to include English subs...
And people wonder why Sega get hated so much... At least Sony are stepping in and getting Yakuza 5 to the west :)
Haven't read the article (thanks Iceball, saved me some clicking lol) but my favourite has got to be W-Item from FF7. The amount of items I duplicated in that game is insane! Became a millionaire from selling X-Potions and Mega Phoenixs lol
YES! I was hoping this would be announced! Hopefully it plays just like the PS3 World Cup game, and nothing like Rugby 15 because that was just....there isn't a word to describe just how awful that was!
