M$ did show there strengths with these ads. They threw loads of money at it and hoped for the best, thats always been there way, and it doesnt seem to be working anymore......

on-topic, a bit of pointless article like someone else mentioned coz he was basically saying people need to get out more and singled-out gaming, but what he says now is how good it is to see a recurring festival to bring together gaming developers in the UK....
I love how M$ always bring up there price point that they are the cheapest. Theres one big problem with that though. People pay for quality. The PS3 is expensive because it has incredible technology in and its very stable. The Wii is a good price because it uses current/recent technology very well and is also stable. 360 on the other hand is plagued with hardware failures and has ancient & cheap parts in (i can almost guarantee that fan costs about 5pence/cents for each one...)
wonder how many discs a multi-plat MGS5 would need...
1 Blu-ray (dual layer, maybe even quad)
6+ DVDs (if its quad layer, it would be doubled again, meaning 12 dvds!!)
once again, having a truly next gen console (the PS3 if you hadnt worked it out) is the best way of future proofing your entertainment :)
hideo has said himself time and again that its never gonna happen, and it wont. If M$ had actually put a half-decent storage system in there console then it might of been a possibility, but they didnt.
Wonder how they would split 50gb of awesomeness across those shoddy DVDs....
EDIT: just had a thought, there a load of tense moments in MGS4, and the 360 would ruin them with either 1) Its REALLY loud fan, 2) its loud DVD drive (not as loud as the fan thank god!), 3) ...
Love the fact they said 'No RRoD were reported' haha its almost as if it happens a lot.............
it's still a rip-off though, considering i dont think any companies actually make 20gb HDD's anymore, and a 40gb 2.5" SATA drive (for the PS3, only comparison i can make) costs about $30 (im assuming, im from the UK and they cost about £20 over here, probably even less).
On a related note, just bought a 320gb HDD for my PS3, cost all of £50, about half of what M$ seem to sell there 60gb HDD's for...
as good as those figures sound, they could mean nothing. Lets say for example that the 360, like it normally does, sells 1000 units in japan. a 5 fold increase would mean 5000 units instead, still half of the what the PS3 sells a week.
This may all sound good, but if the figures were that great, e.g. slaughtering the Wii and PS3, then they would actually put numbers...
definitly agree there, why move it to the wii when its main fanbase owns a PS3/PS2/PSP??? doesnt make good sense...
cant wait for this though, i loved MHF2 and was really hoping MHF2G would come out over here. Time to dust off my PSP to put in another 100hrs on the original LOL

Im not too fussed though, got me a PS3 at launch and love it :)

@ odd number of lights mentioned, its coz 7 is the easiest highest number to have with the lights on the PS3 (unless you wanna have all the lights flashing, but tht would just be weird and give people seizures lol)
1 game causing crashes (occasionally, not happening to everyone and this is the first i even heard of it) compared to RRoD...

not really, i cant stand FPS games anymore, and i prefer RPG's over most other games and im from the UK :) but i know what you mean, and i cant quite understand why we like all the FPS games, there all the dam same lol

thats something that makes me laugh, coz in all the Windows ads they refer to 'PC' throughout, and might mention windows once at the very end. They could inadvertently send people looking on the net for a PC and then see someone like Dell selling Linux for less, people buy Linux and M$ lose a sale :D
