No, kinect does NOT live up to the hype. Everyone keeps saying "But it has a ton of potential" and I say why? cause they said it does? cause MS promised it would do more? Problem is, Kinect hasnt proven anything except it can do extremely casual, extremely limited games and even then, it has lag (yep I have played it and have watched it played several times)even though the games are not graphic heavy or have much depth to drag the system down. It will always be a shallow experience ...

It appears to me, all that can be said bad about the Move is the shape and the way it looks.
And all that can be said bad about kinect is the games and the way it works or doesnt. So.. which one do you think matters more to gamers? he he.. make fun of the shape allll you want, cause you've got nothing on its precision and accuracy. Give me Move over kinect, anyday.. besides, if I turn my Move controller off, I have a kinect device called the PSeye, and I didnt even get screwed on ...

Kinect has shown no "variety" its purely casual thus far. No DEPTH, and Depth is what makes a game casual or core. Pick up and play, is casual. No skill required, Casual. Game makes up for your lack of skill, Casual. If your 7 yr old who has only been playing games for 3 years can beat someone who has been playing for 30 yrs cause the game equalizes everything, then its CASUAL. Most Wii games are casual, till here recently with games like DK country returns, and Golden eye, and epic...

Could someone please READ the article, its just talking about current PS3 3D tech, not real holograms.. Though I do love the 3D stuff and am really looking forward trying 3D and Move together. a Horrow flashlight 3D Move game would be AWESOME. Bring it on.

You act like this info is so hard to keep up with but companies do it EVERYDAY, they keep up with info from thousands of people with accounts, like credit card companies and banks do, how do they do it, oh my gosh it must not be possible, its all a sham, the banks and credit card companies must just make it up, we are all being screwed... ahhhhhh...lol
Let me ask you a question. How do movies studios keep up with how much money their movies make from ticket sales? who's going to c...

Ok so I found 4 out of the 6 stores you named that had websites, just google searching their names. I bet they all have one but the other two are not as straight forward adding a .com to their names. I also bet they all have a way to report their PS3 sales to Sony just like they have a way to ORDER PS3's from Sony.. give it up.. its the age of information. Your out of excuses, you know, unless their cash register dings and plastic numbers pop up into a window on the top...

Oh ok.. So they can get Sony the "How many PS3's we need for stock" info, but not the "How many PS3's we sold" info? .... oh.. ok. That makes.. perfect.. sen... ok no thats bad logic. I disagree. Give me the names of some "small" retailers that actually sell PS3's, cause I cant think of a one. Also, Sony doesnt necessarily have to get the info directly from the store (although I am sure they do, reported to Sony probably when ordering more) but Sony c...

For those that keep saying stupid things like "How can Sony know how many PS3 have been sold to people?" let me tell you about little things called COMPUTERS. Each item in a store has a particular bar code on it that is just for that product and it identifies what it is and how much it cost. They also have these "computer" things that keep tally of what is sold and what is not, this data gives the retailers such as Walmart an idea of what is selling and what is not to know...

"Bottom line is if Pseye can do what kinect does why haven they shown us yet instead of saying "yeah we can do that we just don't want to"

Bottom line is the PSeye can, but it wasnt accurate and good enough for gamers, it was limited and still is. Thats why Sony kept working to give us more. Just because MS sells you something doesnt make it worth it. Just because they give it the ability doesnt mean it will truly work well or need it. I never owned an Eyet...

"Yes is impressive and it is something that will make possible things that wasn't in the pass"

Yes I agree, in the past it wasnt possible for my avatars legs to spaz out and flip over backward. Thank you so much MS for your contribution to gaming.

This video shows that Sony is truly working to forward gaming and be the best at what it does, and honestly I think Nintendo is doing the same.

Um yeah doesnt the PSeye actually track the sphere of the Move in a 3D space? So that tells me that the PSeye can track in 3D, only Sony decided it would track more accurately if the thing it was tracking in 3D was the same all the way around (hence the reason for the Move and the reason kinect doesnt track accurately and without lag)

So far I haven't seen kinect do any of that either.. lol So far they have only showed what Eyetoy did years ago only Eyetoy seemed to do it better. But I am so glad kinect has the capability.. the promise of kinect looks so promising, unfortunately kinect itself hasn't shown any promise, except that it will be advertised to death with promises of the promise it promises only cant fulfill...
thats alot of promises. I dont buy and play ideas, I buy and play the games that comes ...

So far all I see is a laggy, unresponsive, mostly on rails mess. Show me something worth having and I will buy it. I bought the Move for sports champions, Tumble, Beat sketcher (love the demo, cant wait for the game) The Shoot (just got it and it is great) Time crisis (love the demo, cant wait for the game), and the 1:1, Cant wait for more. I probably wont buy the Fight cause it looks like a mess, but I will try a demo. I will be buying Wii this christmas for my kids cause of the mario and zel...

"Ghosthunter" was an awesome game that would be really good on PS3 and even better using the Move. It could be a first person/third person shooter where you aim with the Move and then press a button to bring up the trap and then Frisbee it (Disc golf style) into the ghost. And with a flashlight on the gun, it would be a great potentially creepy game.

Alright, yall can read by my previous comments that Im a die hard Sony fan, so I am not making this up. It wont let me in my psn accounts. at first it freaked me out cause I thought maybe someone had gotten into my account (not sure how they would though...lol panicked)Im glad to see others having the same issue cause it lets me know Sony will fix it. but I hope they hurry. I was about to buy Planet Minigolf for my kids, my wife and I to play with using the move. guess we will stick with spor...

My wife went to best buy yesterday right when they opened and bought 1 move bundle w/ Sports champions, 3 extra move controllers, 2 navs, Eyepet (for my 2 kids), Start the Party, and Aragons Quest, also bought Tumble online. We stayed up till 2 in the morning playing and got up today and started playing.. We LOVE it. I love sports champions.. the precision is unmatched. Gotta go play.

Milo didnt actually respond DIRECTLY to anything the guy said. He instead gave cover all type statements. I mean, the guy mentions a new school and friends, and milo answers that he misses his old house. Then the guy mentions the house and pond, and milo says it was good skimming stones.. like the guy had mentioned skimming stones. Why? because it only knew he spoke, not what he said. It may pick up on certain words.. but its limited and still seems scripted.. BORING.

Dont get me wrong, I like the Wii and I will buy one for my kids. My brothers both have a wii for their kids and I have played it several times. Now while fun, it has very little precision. I mean, you barely have to flick the wiimote to either punch, or swing a bat, or throw a ball. And a 6 yr old that just started playing games can easily do as well as a person who has been playing video games since Atari and not cause the kids good. But cause the game compensates for the lack of precision....

We're so glad you have looked into it. Now its just your words against Sony.. hum, whoever shall we believe. /s

Sony has stated they report sold to customers. For those of you who think this impossible, you need to get out more. Business take what we call INVENTORY to tell them how many of a particular product they have sold so they know IF its selling and how many to restock. Most all retailers have computer systems that automatically know what the item is at what price ...
