Oh come on. I honestly think its good for the industry to have this competition .. yeah we root for our chosen team much as sports fans do, but in the end we all want whats best for Gaming in general. If we are hard on one console over another is because of the business tactics used by said console maker that we fear could set dangerous standards for the gaming industry as a whole if they succeed.

PS4 preordered and for the first launch ever I will be there at Midnight to wait for my console. Assuming my Gamestop will have a midnight launch. Otherwise I will be there when they open. My kids and I are very excited. It feels like the excitement of the PS2 days are back.
Yeah, see this is the point. I dont need my console to do TV. Why? Cause my TV already does TV with the push of a button that I can push faster than I can tell my console to do it.
Plus you still have to have a cable box for your all in one... (or two) entertainment package.

Nope, That would be the PS4 that has an internal power supply, while the Xbone still has an external power brick as well as being larger and less powerful. Sorry for the disappointment.

MS reaping what they sowed. They are untrustworthy now... at least until they prove they know they were wrong and are truly trying to fix it... I just dont think MS has it in them to think they are ever wrong.. or even care. Time will tell.

Really? I dont think the controller is what keeps casuals at bay. I believe its price and game selection.
The PS2 had alot of platformer and puzzle games which I believe is what a lot of casuals look for. I believe this because that is what my wife liked...

The 360 did nothing of the sorts. The 360 started off hardcore. Then MS turned its back on the hardcore and went pretty much casual and hasnt looked back until now when it needs the hardcore to buy its new system at launch since alot of casuals wont jump in till later. Then, once they get a lot of you to buy it, they will forget you again and focus mainly on casuals. Seems to be MS's new direction.

Oh my gosh, another one trying to prove a point with the same old "I know someone who works for someone" ... You cant dispute the FACTS of the specs.. GIVE IT UP. It was Sony, for taking a stand and giving us an awesome CHOICE of a console that didnt take the power and control from us.

The Real Peter Moore hit the nail on the head. When you go in to buy a PC you dont get a list of operating systems to choose one from.... you dont get a choice at all. Can you imagine what would happen to MS if you walked in to buy a PC and the guy behind the counter could say "Would you like MS Windows OS or Googles new PC Android OS in your PC?" lol.. Exactly, if you let MS get away with this they will, I repeat, They WILL get worse with more and more control. Geez, this is MS, the kings of take what we want and do what we want cause you have no choice but to buy our operating system if you want a PC over a Mac. Only in this case we do have another much better option, and that is the PS4. If we dont stand behind the right consumer friendly practices, it will effect all of us in the future. PS4 for me.

Yeah but have you noticed that the PS4 launch edition is already sold out and the Xbone isnt? lol.. cant be number one on new sales when your SOLD OUT. Course theres always the second batch of PS4's at number 2. But like me, I bet others decided to go to other places like gamestop and get a launch PS4 instead of ordering the seconds off of amazon. I'd rather pay the tax and get it at launch. Thanks for the info though.
