Boy, some of yall are reaching. If MS is so about progression, Why does their console have a disk drive? You can stream movies, games and music. So why? Ill tell you why. Its cause they know people arent ready for it. Give up your "MS is leading the way" crap and see what they are really about. MONEY and CONTROL... Mostly controlling your money... but hey. If you want to be so blind, have fun. I prefer the consumer friendly, its your choice console that is the PS4.
This is not about being always connected. Its about MS selling you physical media and then telling you what you can and cannot do with it. Its about them trying to control the market, and thats what they are doing.

So where exactly did I say anything about just the people on N4G? I am speaking of Gamers in general, and speaking with our wallets was exactly the point. I seriously doubt MS will pull in many that dont play video games of some sort. Most people will see the XBone as a video game device despite MS trying to make it something more. Its gamers that will decide whether this thing sells or not. If people that play games dont buy it.... it will fail.

The movie industry and music industry isnt fighting used movie or music sales. They are fighting the illegal copying and selling of movies and music via downloads or bootleg copies.

Microsoft built this into their console, Sony does not have to go down the same path. The crap Microsoft is doing is their own design. I agree with Wicked Lester, just pack in one of each, DS4, Move, headset and eye camera. That makes it sure they all get used to the fullest extent possible. The move is a good controller, its accurate and it can do things no other controller can do, like its augmented reality, where it changes the controller into different things. My family loves it...plus using it in Killzone was awesome. So, pack it in every system Sony. Can't raise the price that much more, surely it's cheap to ma...
Theres nothing hypocritical about it. The PSeye tracks the movement of the controllers, which have what we in the future call "buttons" ....lol and they give games more depth and accuracy. Kinect on the other hand tracks you (rather poorly) and makes you jump around like an idiot while it mostly plays the game for you....so in a way, your right. PS4 eye= good

Oh come on, PS1 played cd's because it used cd's as game format. Same with PS2 and DVD. Yeah it was a nice extra but the games is what made it sell like it did. PS3 is a bit different because it actually helped Blu-ray win the format war against HD-dvd and yeah it was strategic for Sony to include it.
