It's impossible to predict how western titles will do. I would point to the fact that it really only sold 17k in its first week, which is in line with Fallout 3 IIRC.
Nothing huge, but still decent.
I know you're attempting sarcasm, but I think the point was to contrast the relative success of a single title, not disparage the PS3.
Unless that hurts people's feelings, which I'm completely in support of.
Pretty impressed with Mass Effect, considering it's a western game on a western system in Japan. The zero PS3 games in the top 30 in Japan thing is honestly shocking. What the hell is going on over there?!
What's next, a Japanese NBA team?
only two PS3 games in the top 30?
Great week for PSP, and the DS just won't quit!
Nice to see Resident Evil 5 still in the top 10!
The one that in this post is actually a weekly pie chart. The lifetime market share for Wii/PS3 is actually close to 66/26 while the chart you're talking about shows this week's share of 51/39.
But the Wii will be hitting 8 million consoles sold sometime this week.
I might be the only one, but this doesn't help me sleep at night.
Japan said "no"
:(
Yeah tons of games come out for both of them, but many of them are complete shovelware. DS finally starting getting legitimate 3rd party software after a few years on the market, but does anybody think it will ever happen for the Wii?
This article has the entire top 30 and is not a duplicate.
This article only has the top 10.
Why would you do that?
ChartGet will post them tomorrow night about an hour earlier.
Not sure, but this definitely isn't part of the main-line series. This isn't like "Platinum" or "Emerald" or anything. Look at it more like Dragon Quest Swords compared to a mainline Dragon Quest game.
Looks like Sony and Nintendo perfectly split the top 10.
Is this a balanced market, with two mainstream machines and two hardcore gamer machines?
Is it just a matter of time before the UK reflects what Japan and the US are already showing? How long until UK's Wii sales deflate as the peripheral (and casual) markets reduce their support?
I'd say we'll see some downward movement as early as this summer.
I'll bet the Wii being #1 around the world makes you feel awesome! Doesn't it?
This has the full top 30, not just the top 10 like the other one. (EVERY WEEK).
