seriously, did you give it a read through all the way? The guy is NOT bashing PS3. The only people even somewhat bashed are developers that don't take the time to optimize games for PS3 hardware and thus rely on unnecessary installations. THAT is the point.
I've lost over 40 gig to required installs from the following:
Bioshock
GTA IV
RE 5
Lost Planet
LBP
MGS 4: GotP
Devil May Cry 4
Gran Tourismo 5: Prologue
The Bourne Conspiracy
Oblivion GOTYE
But the primary purpose is so that digitally distributed games - via the PlayStation Network - have a home built right in on the system. Besides, devs didn't pay for the Hard drive in PS3s, the gamers who bought the thing did.
lol.
I may have to check this one out.
This isn't saying the PS3 version isn't fun-because it is still an entertaining game. But having played both versions on the same 1080p Insignia and simply switching inputs, the difference is quite shocking.
The article isn't trying to bash PS3. (Note that the guy really talks up Killzone 2 and Uncharted.) The article is simply bringing up an interesting aspect of the video game industry in general. Whereas lesser quality means a lower price in most industries (lesser quality TV...
You have hit the nail on the head.
Rogue Squadron on 64 was one of the most enjoyable games I ever played on the system. It would be awesome if a sequel was made for Wii.
I own both a PS3 and 360. I was planning on getting Ghostbusters for PS3 because it was supposedly the "lead Platform" and I read all those BullS#!t articles about it being able to render more items on screen.
It doesn't bother me that one version ended up better than the other - that happens all the time, look at Bionic Commando (PS3 is better), Tom Clancy's: Hawx (360 better), Terminator Salvation (PS3), X-men Origins (360), Wanted: Weapons of Fate (PS3), Street Figh...
inFamous has been awesome in both the evil and good campaigns.
The dreamcast deserved better.
Nintendo 64 DD
Now that was silly.
Microsoft came far closer to living up to all of its promises than I expected. As a gamer on all three current Gen consoles I hope the 360's competition does the same.
and dark characters in the light campaign. I'm glad to see that cuz that way we can see both sides with one character.
Now that is a level cap i can work with!
You can play the entire game in co-op, on or offline.
The inevitable reveal of certain 360 exclusives (cuz their announcement is long overdue)and whether or not Sony has any plans to cut the Price of the PS3.
As an owner of both systems I can't wait for the great things both companies will bring.
Battlefront on original Xbox was awesome. Same with the sequel. Truly a shame if this is true.
Those are some of the best games so far this generation.
But not what many hardcore Wii gamers were hoping for. Still, good overall and to be appreciated.
