5 bucks for days worth of quality entertainment. Now that is a bargain.
Funny thing is, my PS3 is hooked to the same 42 inch, 1080p flat panel as my Netflix equipped 360. Basically, this doesn't change much of anything for me, but it does mean I don't need to switch which system is turned on to watch streaming movies!!! I'm all about convenience.
:D
That is what I am talking about. Dedicated servers AND complete mod support. Thank you, Bioware for giving the consumer what we want, not dictating how we do everything and limiting our capabilities. Forget you, infinity ward.
And the server decision. In the long run though, I've simply experienced the hell out of the COD formula having played through three previous COD titles. I am simply looking for something new to try. So far I've been enjoying uncharted 2 and borderlands. Couple those with Dragon Age on PC, ODST, and Brutal Legend and I am swamped. I have new things to do, CODMW2.
Last week I bought Bioshock off Direct2Drive for $5.00, now I'm getting Assassins Creed for the same price off of Steam. Having recently been in Gamestop, the cheapest used copy I could find for either of these titles was $20.00. Thank you digital distribution! You save me money and gas!
Update: Downloading now while I comfortably peruse the internet. Life is good.
The awesomeness thereof is exceeding.
Can't wait to get my hands on this.
First off, you have the coolest avatar ever. Chunk doing the truffle shuffle? CLASSIC!!! Moving on, as a regular online gamer on every major current platform including Wii, I won't pay $100.00 for xbox live. There is simply no way. I've been playing Uncharted 2 and Fat Princess online all week on PS3 with a total cost of $0.00. As a major PC gamer, I have played dozens of multiplayer games online in the last year for, you guessed it, $0.00. Basically, if Microsoft raises the price, My X...
His predictions are either eerily accurate, or horribly WRONG. I'm personally hoping that this time he is wrong because Borderlands, with its growing list of solid reviews and unique combination of RPG Sandbox and FPS styles, is worth action gamers attention everywhere.
As a side note, I'm probably not even going to pick up MW2. With the pricing issues, lack of servers on PC, and the fact that it is just an improved version of COD4, the appeal isn't that high. That and I would ...
Honestly, this is the kind of game I have been waiting on for a long time. Open world Sandbox gameplay has taken way to too long to get to consoles. Now that it is here...I am thrilled. I genuinely hope more open world games (here's lookin' at YOU, upcoming Elder Scrolls V!!!)are made with full co-op in mind.
I will not be purchasing MW2 for any platform, and I own PS3, 360, and a Gaming PC. It is simply ridiculous that a series this financially successful wants to give LESS for more money. Apparently the reward for my customer loyalty is an inferior product. What a slap in the face. Left 4 dead 2, Borderlands, Brutal Legend, and Dragon Age: Origins all just moved one step higher on my holiday purchase list.
I picked uncharted. I will def be getting Brutal in the near future, but the choice was obvious. Considering I also just bought the Crysis bundle for PC, I just don't have the time!
Nothing like a little nostalgia.
get BOTH games. That's what I'm doing. As far as which I play first...it doesn't really matter.
It just makes sense for many reasons:
1. The costs associated with production this generation - in making both consoles and games that run on them - are humongously higher than the previous generation. With that truth in mind, the time required to recoup production costs on both consoles and games is greater. If Five years was enough time to reap major profit last gen, at least seven years is logical now, if not longer.
2. PCs will always be more powerful than con...
Been loving playing as the Joker. ;) Of course, that's just cuz i got the PS3 version. I love having both systems.
Hurry up and get your gold back! ODST comes out in days!
was truly the bomb.com.
I think you make some great points, but I think bad reviews happen a little less often than you imply. I write for a small site (That Gaming Site), but our site is big enough that we regularly get review copies of games straight from publishers. I can honestly say that at our site, finishing games before review is mandatory and grounds for termination if not complied with. Our credibility depends on it. If we aren't honest we will stop getting viewers and game makers will stop sending us t...
I think the game has enough appeal to last, the question is whether it gets enough gamer attention. Too many good games go under the radar.
and through digital distribution no less!!! I know, I am a horrible, horrible human being.
With Uncharted 2 gobbling up time on my PS3 and Borderlands consuming hours on Xbox 360 my PC simply needed some love. That and it will run Dragon Age more smoothly and at higher settings than either console could even dream! That is the beauty, my single console friends, of foregoing usesless allegiances and building from scratch my own game dominating machine. Nothing like an i7 proc...
