Kameo: EOP 2?

I would like to hear more about Microsoft’s first party development plans. Like what’s up with Rare’s new look and logos? And what the newer studios like Spawnpoint and Firebird are up to?

Natal will obviously be interesting. Name, price, release date and of course software. I’m really hopeful that there will be something there for the core gamer. A good RTS would be a great start, but I’m ready to be surprised.

As for what the big shock announcement could b...

I will never give up hope for KOTOR III.

NEVER!

Oh yeah!

I had compleatly forgot about Milo.

I always wondered if he was part of some kind of dashboard interface. Like instead of flicking through tabs or pages and selecting apps with a button press you just tell Molo what you want.

I think that would be pretty neat.

He certainly has the experience and skills.

Microsoft seems good at attracting top talent, so I guess anything is possible.

I do however have to defend the criticism of Rare’s output in this article. Rare has produced 5 games this gen that I can remember, and helped provide the NXE dashboard and avatars.

If Microsoft’s other first party studios were as productive as Rare they would not need to buy any others.

Isn't Bill Gates sinking heaps of cash, resources and tech into curing AIDS?

I wonder how he's getting on?

Never seem to hear much about that sort of thing.

This was the single greatest E3 article I have ever read.

For a racing game with the need for precision controls like Burnout or Forza Natal would be less than useful I agree.

But a fun little cart racer? C’mon. Have you seen how well Mario cart performed on the Wii? I copied this from wikipedia…

Mario Kart Wii had a successful launch and sold 300,000 copies on the launch day in Japan alone, compared to Mario Kart DS which sold 160,000 copies on its first day and Mario Kart: Double Dash!! which sold 180,000 on its ...

Agreed.

This would be a perfect game for Natal.

An arcade/cart racer would be just what it needs to help get it out there.

Plus the fact that they are on completely separate and financially successful systems.

If there is room for three consoles in the market, then there’s also room for three motion controllers.

I liked it better when it was called Indiana Jones.

You make a fantastic point. + bubble.

ME2 is a great game and perhaps should be left at that.

I just think after playing ME1 that it felt… I really don’t want to say dumbed down because that’s not fair to those that really enjoyed the game (myself included).

It was just smaller. You cannot tell me you weren’t a little disappointed with the size of the Citadel in ME2?

As a total experience for me Mass Effect 2 deliver...

I love the RPG genre and am also a huge fan of Bioware.

But even I have to admit the ME2 is dangerously close to moving in to a straight up third person shooter.

It is still a very enjoyable game, and still sits as my favorite IP to come out of this generation so far, but I cannot in good judgement say it is a good example of a western RPG.

It’s just too narrow. Both environmentally and in mission structure. It just pulls you along to t...

Like Alex Kidd was on the Master System.

If Natal works as advertised with a rock solid game selection and is able to support 4 players at the same time, it just might be worth the rumored price.

If the price that has been revealed happens to be correct ($150) I cannot see it staying there for long. Most likely Microsoft can sell it at a higher price at launch and move a few tens of thousands to those that like what they saw at E3 and need it under their tree this Christmas.

After that I would think...

I thought that you didn't win E3 by wheeling out celebrities?

If the Beatles and Stephen Spielberg didn't win it for Microsoft last year how can a comedian that only a few Sony fans would get exited about win it for them this year?

Certain types of sports games like boxing or golf would work quite well with Natal along with the other motion controlled systems (Wii & PS3).

But as for something that would make Natal shine? A RTS working perfectly with hand gestures and voice commands would be something to see.

Depending on how accurate Natal is at tracking small movements, I think a trauma team type surgical sim could work as well.

Also a cart racer nothing super har...

I honestly cannot say if I would be able to justify a Natal purchase at that price (even more in NZD).

But I will see what it is capable of at E3 and make a decision based on what I see there.
I mean for all we know the thing might be so awesome that it’s actually worth the price.

But from what I know about it, and have seen of it I simply cannot even consider buying it at that price.

It’s a shame really, as I am interested in it and ...
