I don’t think Microsoft are going to announce anything game wise for TGS. Don’t get me wrong I would love for them to take the stage and blow everyone away but it’s not going to happen.
They are focused like a laser on Kinect right now, and that’s ok as far as I’m concerned. It’s been a big investment for Microsoft and I’m sure they don’t want to just send it out to die. So I would not expect anything as far as big new AAA titles from them.

I would have to try it for myself before I could make any final decision.
Lets just say that the Casual nature of some of these games is not an immediate deal breaker for me. But I do need at least some depth of game play to enjoy myself.

Kinect sports boxing seems OK. I would love to see some more footage of it in action. Even Joyride is looking not too bad. I wonder if there are any options to customize your vehicle?
Should be interesting to see if the Kinect experience has been tightened up since E3 and Gamescom.
The thing that grinds my gears is that Microsoft could easily address their lack of first party developers.
As I see it the Xbox brand is having trouble on three fronts.
1) Lack of first party studios.
2) Lack of recognized franchises / Ips
3) Almost no penetration of the Japanese market.
All this points to one solution. IMO Microsoft must buy SEGA.

I didn’t realize that Kinect adventures had 20 mini games.
Not a bad variety. I wonder why we have only seen the breakout, mine cart and river rafting games?
I really want to see if any of this stuff has been improved on since E3.
The gameplay shown in this video reminds me of that river rafting mini game in Kinect Adventures.

The human/Covenant war has been done. It’s over.
Now we are left with the Master Chief and Cortana stranded in space. That premise if done properly could be the launching platform for an entirely new Halo series. With different enemies, weapons, and characters.
As long as the quality of the storytelling and gameplay are up to “Bungie” standards, 343 and Halo will be fine.

It’s becoming more and more clear to me that Kinect is being somewhat rushed to market.
I’m sure that the hardware itself is ready, but it just feels like Microsoft really needed maybe another six to eight months to bring their vision to life.
It’s all well and good to want to update and patch in features later but hearing these sorts of things just make it feel unfinished.
