Oh yeah.

I forgot about Starcraft 2.

I'm a console guy mostly so SC2 has been under my radar. It's goes to show what a great year 2010 has been for gamers.

ME2
GOW3
Red Dead
Alan Wake
Super Mario Galaxy 2
Starcraft 2

also Halo Reach & GT5 still to come.

Mass Effect 2 is in the running, No doubt.

But unless Halo Reach is absolutely phenomenal I think Red Dead will probably get the nod.

Your right.

Darth Vader was a much more interesting character when he didn't have a face.

I think I read that 343 industries will be developing Halo 4. It will probably be a launch title for XB3.

Well thats that settled. Thanks for the info & link.

+ bubble for you.

I do like the tagline "Be whats next".

Hey!

It's 3 Xs

Xbox 3 incoming.

Called it.

The only way I can see this being accurate is if this is the logo and tagline is for a next gen console.

Microsoft has just re-branded the Xbox 360 for the release of Kinect, I don’t see any reason to do it again. My gut reaction is that this is a fake, but I don’t count out anything when it comes to this industry.

Edit: I also just noticed that it only says Xbox, I dont see 360 anywhere.

This is going to be a very popular launch title.

I look at this and still cannot believe how Black & White 3 is not getting developed right now.

If Microsoft wants to price Kinect at $150 USD that is their business.

However. I think a slightly better option would be to let the customer choose the launch game they want bundled with the device.

Clearly Kinect Adventures is the weakest of all the Kinect launch titles, so I can see why Microsoft would just bundle it with Kinect and be done with it. But if titles like Kinectamals, Kinect Sports and Dance central are going to be the “system sellers” that Mi...

An opportunity missed I’m afraid.

Microsoft could have come out swinging and really undercut both Sony and Nintendo if they had priced the Kinect hardware at something closer to $99.99.

I am hopeful that Microsoft will see sense eventually and lower the price. Perhaps after Christmas, when the novelty factor has worn off a little bit.

I am encouraged to hear that first party games for Kinect will be $10 cheaper than a full priced title.

Mirrors Edge 2.
Army of Two sequel.
Mercenaries Inc.
Mass Effect 3 (We know it’s coming so they might as well announce it).

If they are smart they will go with your second option.

I would expect Kinect to be priced lower than the $150 placeholder as I think they would have been listening to public opinion on that. I’m going to guess around $80 to $120 USD.

On topic: I would have to agree with Greeneagle, I think that the Move is going to sell well but mostly appeal to gamers who already own the PS3. I think Kinect has a better chance of cracking the mainstream casual audience, but...

A FPS using kinnect should be a traditional FPS experience using a controller.

Kinnect could be used for head tracking to provide a 3D like effect as shown in the attached video.

As the video will show you could do the same thing with the Wii and the Move providing you have a sensor on your head. Kennect can track body parts like your head in 3D space without the use of sensors.

At least I think that would work.

I know that Child of Eden is also on the PS3. But Ubisoft has clearly taken the time to think carefully how to make it playable for Kinnect.

I'm sure it would have been easy to just release it for the PS Move and Wii but by thinking about Gesture controls for Kinnect it just might be the better for it.

Deal or no deal.

I don’t think that they need to buy out Ubisoft outright, as that might be a bit heavy handed.

But Ubisoft has come out swinging in support of Kinnect with a couple of solid launch titles in Your Shape Fitness and Child of Eden.

I just think it would be smart to have a stake in a company that is taking Kinnect seriously.

5701d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

Microsoft should buy those shares.

It might be handy for them to have a minority stake in a company that will be creating important 360 and Kinnect software like Splinter Cell and Your Shape Fitness.

Yeah.

I would love to see Joe Average try and pull off some of his moves.

This will be the most difficult game in history.

Not too shabby

The American football and skiing stuff looks like it has potential.

I still want to see some head tracking and a RTS demo before I would buy into it fully.

C'mon Microsoft chop chop.

I will never never give up hope for KOTOR 3.

But I would dance a fucking jig if Bioware would announce Jade Empire 2.

5713d ago 5 agree1 disagreeView comment

You’re quite right.

Last gen the Microsoft and the Xbox were heavily criticized for NOT having the big titles that the PS2 enjoyed.

Microsoft has worked hard to reverse that this gen by getting the GTA's Final Fantasy's and Tekken's on there console at the same time as Sony's

Unfortunately this has been at the expense of developing a first party stable. I would hope that now that the 360 has strong 3rd party support some of th...
