Looks like Microsoft might be finally getting serious about it’s first party development.
First they create two new studios in Spawnpoint and Firebird, now they have allowed Rare to stretch their legs with this second studio.
Good things will come from this I think.
343 Industries have control of the entire Halo franchise.
we are not just talking about games, everything Halo has to get the greenlight from these guys.
Halo is to Microsoft what Star Wars is to Lucasarts. The rock solid foundation upon which everything else is built.
This sounds like a pretty serious problem for PS3 owners.
I really hope no permanent damage is done to the consoles effected or the PSN.
PS3 gamers have my support.

I have always liked Fable's art style.
If Microsoft choose to hold interviews and demo the product to journalists then thats their business.
If the guys at Sony are upset about it and feel the need to comment on it, then in my opinion Microsoft must be doing something right.
This game was never going to be good.
And thats something for them to work on I guess.
But what was interesting about the glitch was how quickly it recalibrate and corrected itself.
It's a pretty impressive piece of kit.
(Even when it glitches).
If nothing else Natal will provide full 3D motion capture in your own home.
It could be a great tool for independent film/game makers interested in animation.
Bit of a hiccup there at the 29 second mark.
But on the plus side it seemed pretty accurate at tracking the player.
I still think it would work better for a RST, puzzle or simulator type game. As it looks like it would respond better to slightly slower more deliberate movement/gestures.
That tiny bit of lag would be a bit of a deal breaker for fast reaction based games like the one shown and FPS.
Still time to improve.
It looks better to me. But to be honest I would not care if there was no graphical improvements over Fable 2 whatsoever.
Just give me more clothes, weapons, and quests and I will be happy.
Fill Albion with more towns, people, animals, and demon doors.
Fable games have always been beautiful looking, just give us more to do in that wonderful game world.

I enjoyed B&W when I played it (a few years ago now).
but I think lionhead could make B&W3 an even better experience with Natal and Xbox live. Just my opinion.
Also I am currently playing Fable 2 for the first time and absolutely loving it. The first one was one of my all time favorite xbox games but I just never got around to the sequel until now.It's a great game.

Some governments provide tax incentives for films to be made in their countries, so I don't see much difference with what Pete's proposing here.
I live in New Zealand and our local film industry has boomed over the years thanks to our government offering tax breaks and other incentives for filmmakers.
I see no reason why this model could not work for game companies as well.
Getting rid of things like health bars and other HUD clutter makes for a better experience in my opinion.
I remember one of EA's Fight Night titles doing the same thing, you had to look for visual clues that your fighter was getting tired.

Rare seems to be an easy target at the moment for the haters.
Viva Pinata is a charming game that has more depth to it than many would have you believe.
I have total faith that they will deliver the goods with Natal.
