As an xbox gamer I can honestly say that I'm in no way irritated that Bungie got back their independence.
However if it's true that this game will be a MMO FPS, then I cannot see how this is going to be much of a success for Bungie or Activision. MMOs and FPS are two of the most over saturated game types available. And Bungie's developing a game thats both?
It's going to release with a bang, and then quickly go out with a whimper as gamers flo...
here ya go.
Microsoft, you have been holding out on us after all.
Sneaky buggers.
I hope it's got a 2011 release.
Aha now I get it.
It's not an xbox exclusive game at all. It's an exclusive article for OXM. I think it's just a teaser for the Tomb Raider Reboot.
I mean if you think about the source being OXM then of course they are going to say reborn on Xbox. (But also PS3 & PC).
A perfect Dark Reboot would be...umm...Perfect?
But it's more than likely the Halo CE remake.
Sad to see bizarre getting shut down. It reminds me of Pandemic’s heartbreaking closure thanks to those equally caring folk at EA.
But I would like to think that a new studio would rise from the ashes of BC. Hopefully with a nice little PGR 5 contract from Microsoft to start them off on a high note.
I have to agree with Raven on this one.
Microsoft had a crackerjack 2010. They successfully launching the 360S and Kinect along with a fist full of exclusive games (I’m not going to list them, we all know what they are).
If they are having an “off” year in 2011 then I’m ok with that. I just hope that the few games that they are developing/publishing for a 2011 release are of the highest possible standard.
The 360 is near the end of its ...
I haven’t played Alan Wake yet, but from what I have seen, read and herd the game is rock solid.
I think the game would have done much better if given it’s own release date. As I remember it Alan Wake was released the same day as the Rockstar developed 2010 GOTY Red Dead Redemption.
I mean how is a new exclusive IP going to compete with that?
I think Microsoft will greenlight a sequel.
And yes I will get around to p...
she needs a re-boot.
A third person stelth shooter would do the trick.
Splinter Cell meets Tomb Raider.
"I am fascinated by the idea of Kinect and I WANT to want one".
We are in the same boat. I'm going to give Kinect this year to impress. I really hope it does.
I'm going to go with...
Alan Wake 2
PGR5
Codename Kingdom
Dance Central 2
And that zombie MMO.
I agree with most of you.
Microsoft would be better off to continue to focus on the 360 and Xbox Live at the moment.
Although...Just thinking about it, A handheld device might be an excellent way to re-introduce some forgotten Microsoft IP's. I mean and nice little crimson skies shoot em up or a 2.5D conker platformer would be not too shabby in my opinion.
It is now.
ME1 still sits as a WRPG in my books.
I’m in the same boat dude.
I’m finally getting around to playing Fallout 3 and Ghostbusters this Christmas.
Hell I haven’t even played Halo 3 yet! That’s how far behind I am.
Finally!
Somebody gets it.
+ Bubble (great comment).
I agree.
Microsoft probably just wanted to give Gears 3 some space.
And it's nice to have Forza 4 officially announced.
An Xbox exclusive character for MK?
"Sergeant Major Avery Junior Johnson reporting for duty"!
It's no different to three Uncharted games in the same gen.
As long as the quality of the game is up to scratch it doesn’t matter.
It might not be used for driving at all.
Maybe it's something simple like menu navigation and customising cars. Selecting and installing upgrades?
Some details on the games revealed at TGS last year would be nice.
But hopefully Microsoft has been listening to the Xbox community. The drums have been beating for new Crimson Skies, Lost Oddessy and Killer Instinct Titles.
