For us, who devour every bit of info about big new games, indeed it makes no difference if the reveal comes at E3 or at some irrelevant PS-only show. But there’s a whole world out there and general media outlets (traditional news sites) definitely wouldn’t care and resonate as much if the reveal was made in a random channel/event instead of a giant conference.
