We can’t judge the service and its content based on games developed for other models of monetizarion. These services are here to privilege:
1. Quality: only premium developers will be invited.
2. Longevity: devs are paid by hour played.
So microtransactions and ads are not the #1 item in designer’s list anymore....
Destiny: better shooter by miles.
Borderlands: better looter, no contest.
Both are great on their own.
Very nice gameplay and mood. The upgrading mutations are very fun to play with. The game seriously lack endgame content though. =\
I'm hoping too, but considering their latest three games (Technomancer, Bound by Flame and Mars: War Logs) have a max metacritic of 60, I'm not keeping my hopes up.
The developers have a solid track record of underdelivering.
"Closer to launch" is not necessarily before launch. :D

The F2P intentional progression wall destroys the game when you are on world 5 out of what, 25?
It becomes a useless grind with minimum progress.

Good trailer, good gameplay clips from the events as well. The one thing that worries me is the complete lack of feedback in the shots at 1:31. Is that a giant lag moment? Very strange.

The biggest difference is that EA pulls this con in every game (and it works very well). Hello Games only did it once, but in 100% of their big games. 1/1
Hello Games are con artists, deliberate liars, no matter how hard shivs try to bury their deliberate schemes.
