The point is gaining money by playing the game, pure and simple. Another layer of reward for the game. Good? Bad? It's a matter of opinions, but it's hard to argue that there's no point when players will be earning actual money with the feature.
Anyway, it's just a matter of time before other major companies jump into it. Can't wait for Diablo's NFT auction house design horror.
When you see how cool PS3 and PS4 ages were, you could wonder "how would a company cool like this ever fall".
What is happening is exactly how. Indies are not even being released on PS4/PS5 anymore (XS and Switch are far ahead), PS Plus opening to borderline scams, a dozen exclusives with the same vibe...
I really hope they go back to the drawing board before it's too late.
Congrats for the Hyperbolic PR Statement of the Day!
dbcoops, yes, that's such a huge widespread problem in today's society. /s
Their games have SO much content that I doubt a 15 minute will will spoil the game for anyone...
The correct way to spoil a From Software game is by reading every minor article and interview, believe every hyperbolic rumor and, obviously, expect the impossible 11/10 game.
Devs wouldn't increment the version to 2.000 if it wasn't something big. Great news, the game could use a fleshier meta game. What they did post-launch in Alienation and Resogun was amazing.
This is another generic comment about another generic COD.
A incredibly shitty game with a catchy name and absolutely nothing else.
They went the ultra annoying character route from Watch Dogs 2 / Legion. Ugh! Story and characters WERE a big piece of Saints Row. Still might buy it for the other, possibly sufficient reasons, though.
But let's face it... If you are over 16yo, you're not their target audience anymore.
What else would it be for?
Why? I have prebought it on PS5, but being on Game Pass day 1 is awesome, relevant and, definitely, reason for him to be happy.
TBH, the annoyance says more about you than about him. Or it being on Game Pass...
Hades' week.
Anyone here played it?
Sorry to tell you, you felt deep for a clickbait.
Mothergunship is excellent!
PS+ Microtransaction Festival confirmed.
Friendly marketing is friendly.
- Tennis World Tour 2: Niche, sub 60 metacritic.
- Hunter’s Arena: Legends: Around 60% approval on Steam, which is very bad. Also microtransaction focused.
- Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville: Cash grab, microtransaction focused.
Worst month in a long time.
I can't wait to see how even worse they will make it next month.
I generally agree, brewin, but think you are very wrong when you say that indies might be "upset" with the big companies' investments. Almost every indie would love to have big company support. Why don't they? Because most indie games (by far) are niche or don't have the potential to be so big that it might interest the big market players. Indie devs, in the other hand, go to conventions and dozens of meetings to gather the best funding they can for the months/years of p...
@melons: I can only think that your message comes from complete ignorance. The money does not come from the companies, but from the decentralized market (similar to Diablo's auction house, multiplied by a million).
Again, not saying that it will be good or willl last, but Sky Mavis got a valuation of a few BILLION dollars last month when it was raising funding. Ubisoft is in, hyper-casual companies are in... You're out.
