I'm saying people are crying about Sony not believing in generations when they do in fact have next gen only games. Having both next gen and cross green games has always been a thing at the start of a generation.
On the flip side, being full on cross gen only for the initial two years had never happened before until MS did it this gen
It's definitely held back in some way. The whole everything just scales up and down isn't as simple people make it out to be.
Why are people pretending Returnal and Ratchet are next gen exclusives when it comes to this cross-gen talk? Cross-gen titles was never an issue. They have always existed. Not having ANY next-gen only titles is an issue because those have always existed as well.

Yeah it was an exaggeration, but prior to launch that was gist of what people were saying. Remember the UE demo? People were saying it would run at higher res and 60 on SX and laughed that it ran 1440 on the PS5. This proceeded to be the case for a number of games revealed to be either sub 4K or 60 on the PS5 until launch.
