Isn't saying that the PS3 could run Rachet as is, more disingenuous then saying the SSD makes it only possible on PS5?
FYI companies say this all time. "Such and such is only possible on ________ console" When in reality you could always scale stuff back to make it possible. Last of Us II for example could run on PS3 if you scale back quality, but I don't think anyone would take issue with Sony saying it's only possible on PS4 hardware, besides Jon Bur...
First off Sony has PSNow. Second the content is what matters the most so as long as Sony has games people want to play they'll be fine. Sony can easily put games day one whenever they want, they just don't have to at the moment because a good amount of their games sell really well at launch. As soon as the sub model becomes profitable/sustainable, they'll switch up.. Until then they'll continue doing what they are doing.

Don't worry man. You are wasting your time. There are a lot of people on n4g that are highly suspect when it comes to the issue of race and other things.
They say "don't let a word have so much power over you" or offend you, but will be quick to call the mods or call for a ban if you were to call them a fanboy or badmouth their favorite console manufacturer.

It's weird because I was seeing a bunch of articles talking about how complicated and confusing replacing the SSD was on the PS5 and how it proves that XBox got it right.
I eventually started to read a few and saw that the issue they had was knowing which SSD would work on the PS5 and not the actual process of replacing the SSD itself. . .

Oh yeah I remember that. People were saying that Sony was trying to create "artificial demand" People said that about the switch too if I recall correctly as well.
That said the PS5 has been much harder to find than PS4. You was definitely able to get a PS4 by July no problem.

My point wasn't to refute what you just said. It was merely to point out that SX isn't the only one being held back. You and others are quick to point that out without acknowledging that PS5 is being held back as well, is all. PS5 BC mode is different than Xbox's BC.

Yeah, SX is more powerful no doubt. However PS5 has performed above expectations so far given how much flack it got for being 10TF and variable clocks and people are going to point that out whenever possible. My point was that this games' resolution is limited by BC and thus could potentially be higher than what it is at 120hz not that it's preventing PS5 from being on par or better than SX. Obviously SX would maintain 120 at the same res. SX FPS is being affected by the res, PS5 res ...
You realize that this is PS5 BC so not representative of PS5's power too right? If you're going to be considerate of the res on the SX, be considerate on that front as well.

What is also weird is that, just last year people were complaining about manufacturers focusing on visuals over frames per second. Now hits in FPS are reasonable/understandable if higher resolution is the trade off.
