glad to see my comment from the other boku thread is getting a lot of airplay haha
but seriously all of this is stemming from one guy in seattle who knows squat about anything gaming claiming that this is something MS scrambled together to have their own LBP-esque game
the only similarity is the fact that user created content is shared
well you can share user content on far cry with its amazing map editor, forza 2 with it unparalleled livery interface ,...
that boku video is from 2007...microsoft isn't hyping it people on these bad gaming sites are, read up on boku it is basically a preschool learning tool
goto my previous post on the last page and read the article from when the game was first shown in march 2007, boku has nothing remotely to do with lbp
do yourself a favor and inform yourself instead of buying every bs article on n4g
if you would make gears into a 20vs20 game it would break what the multiplayer is
if you made campaign 4+co-op it would break what gears campaign is
people who argue for the more players in either area clearly either haven't played gears enough to understand the dynamic or just haven't played it period
the story revolves around 2 soldiers, marcus and dom...the rest of the squad rotates/dies whatever...you can't have co-op if a character dies or is change...
from 2007:
**** "A Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) researcher demonstrated Boku, an educational game designed to help children as young as five years old exercise their brains by doing programming." *****
i think it is funny that this has been around for a LONG time but nobody noticed it until one guy in a seattle newspaper labelled it as "microsofts answer to little big planet" a few days ago to fill some space
it isn't meant to be an answer ...
unfortunate because that is really the only thing that made me want to play this game beyond the beta
these games are getting way too expensive for what they actually offer
and it is hard to argue quality when half of the hardware is faulty
everybody is jumping on this as "microsoft's answer to little big planet"
truth is it isn't an answer to anything, the boku project has been around for quite some time and is more of a tool to teach basic level programming principles, and to be used as a creative tool by all
boku is not a game
people trying to hype something as something it isn't
not sure if any of you realize this but the dude who designed skorge is the guy guy who designed predator...it is supposed to look like preadtor
no it isn't you, it is part of the wii effect
the easier something is to pick up, the better chances are somebody new will get into playing it thus translating into more cash
i long ago gave up on n4g mods...they rarely do anything
the zone splitting solved nothing
that would probably happen here had you not watched the video
the giant creature has a very distinct pattern that opens up a weakness
also, just like many of the videos posted this seems to be a lower difficulty
follow the rules of the internet, FBI is definitely male
rule 16. There are NO girls on the internet.
that monster is outrageous
i remember a vid where a guy asked cliff if they had something to compare against the giant resistance monster
he smiled and said "we have something" i'm guessing that is the something
you do realize that you are angry at a game development studio for facts you don't even have correct?
a new elder scrolls game comes out in 2010 bethesda has already said that
oblivion and fallout aren't the same game, oblivion looked better on ps3 because they had an extra year to get it right
you need to step out and live a little if you are that angry at a game company
even with the different perspective this game is just an average platformer, my mind is open but this game just isn't great in my opinion
i was bored with it in demo form so i can't justify owning it, it seems like the game is going to consists of a bunch of point to point missions...same thing over and over again and probably some frustrating sections constrained by time
the game looks like an open world but it is the opposite, i don't see the fun in running a pres...
i think a lot of people may be let down by kz2
i just have a feeling, the game has been way too hyped, and in development way too long for everything to be peachy
my guess for you people who can't access media center and what not is this
when you install this update and it keeps you out of xbox live, it probably actually keeps anything network based from working until the date listed, and since media center and such require a network connection it is not going to work
i'm not really sure what the point of installing a gimped OS is, especially when it actively locks you out of primary functions
just wait for it to ...
what about the ones on makin?
doesn't matter because somebody will find a way to cheat their way to the top of leaderboards anyway
its like on COD4 where you look at the top leaders boards and view the gamercard people are selling leaderboard spots
i'm not sure who is more pitiful, the person cheating the scores or the person actually buying an account for leaderboard space
for this reason i pay no real mind to leaderboards anymore
I actually contribute the advent of the...
just food for thought, perhaps people should actually look at the videos before approving them
this is some crap comparison which is nothing but a youtube montage made by what seems to be a teenager with terrible grammar
i hate comparisons in general but this by far has to be the worst one i have seen, should have never come close to being approved
