I agree that Starhawk shouldn't be above Warhawk, however I must say that Starhawk multiplayer was incredible for its time! Many people wrote it off bc the single player was quite terrible, bc it was basically 1 huge tutorial for the multiplayer. But I can tell you never spent any significant amount of time in MP. It was doing incredibly tense base building w air, foot and land vehicle (and mech!) combat long before Fortnite was ever a thing.

I bet it would have been m...

That's pretty crazy if you think about the 2005 PS3 tech demo that started this all! I'm not sure if they ever intended to remake the game at that time, but the fan outcry for it was so incredible that it eventually became a reality! Now imagine all of the fans who have died waiting for this. :\

AAAA like Crackdown 3 was! Power of the cloud, yo!

Strange headline, as I thought the star of the show was Super RType. I almost bought RType Dimensions EX this last month and was just thinking, man I wish we had the SNES one somewhere on Switch. That's where I got my start w the series and I was beyond excited to see it drop this week!

Well I mean, when your friends are leaving for greener gaming pastures elsewhere, you have to have somebody to talk to, right?

yea, the "wild chimps" comment was over the line though, not cool.

Finally. My kids are crazy about Minecraft, so I play w them often. The chunk draw distance of the PS4 version being played on a PS5 felt pretty archaic. I was starting to think it would never come.

I love that more obscure Retro games are getting official releases, even if they aren't the greatest games. I've been buying most everything, bc I just love supporting legit game preservation especially if we get some bonuses on top.

With that said, I couldn't see myself paying more that 9.99 for this. 24.99 is just crazy.

@fsfsxii It's not so much wanting COD itself to die as it is wanting this silliness to die. Like CrazyCoconuts said, it takes from the grittiness. Many OG COD players want a straightup Military shooter experience, not silly costume time at Carnival.

So that explains our new Fable lead. I'll refrain from making any commentary for or against, but I'll just leave this image here....

I think if there was ever a time for a competitor to rise up and take away some of Call of Duty's thunder, the time would be now. A military shooter that takes itself seriously, not sold out to Fortnitism. Easier said than done, I know... but the time is ripe.

I can't stand this stuff either.

A pause is a temporary thing to sell through existing stock. A price drop and the announcement of a couple of key exclusives could really get things rolling again.

I think this is a good move, bc a lot of this news is being talked about even on the major gaming sites.

There are instances of certain leakers who have a high, high accuracy rate, such as Pyoro who always calls the Nintendo Directs before they happen, even with titles that have never been announced. Pyoro obviously has sort of connection to Nintendo, whether he's a Nintendo employee or someone just really close to one.

But of course, there's a ...

Man, put Legend of the Mystical Ninja on Nintendo Switch Online, right now! It was one of my favorite SNES platformers, a blast to play on co-op! The N64 one wasn't great, but I'd still take it on NSO.

Out of all of these, the one that I would like to see make a comeback is Fat Princess. The original was a ton of fun. The hack and slash one, not so much.

I really liked the Mission Mode. They had you doing crazy stuff like driving backwards, or collecting all the collectibles as quick as you can between a litter of enemies.

They should add it to Mario Kart 9 for sure, along w online leaderboards for the mission stuff. That's how they could expand on the already excellent Mario Kart 8, bc track quality it's hard to imagine them getting much better beyond slightly tighter graphics and 4k on the Switch 2. Maybe more Did...

Yea, I agree that Super Metroid REALLY raised the bar on atmosphere and exploration, still in my Top 10 or 20 games of all time. The original Metroid did set a good framework, but Super Metroid perfected it in its first sequel. Since it's the only one up for vote, I'd still vote for the original Metroid bc it did establish a very good concept of gaming in a more primitive gaming era. But, you're absolutely right.

Yea I tried out the Clinical Trial on Steam & had a blast. Really fun boss battles that'll really test your mastery of moves. Check it out if you haven't already!

There are some good nominees in this list that are deserving to be inducted also, but I feel Metroid has had the most impact on the industry out of all of these. Look how Metroid influenced the evolution of the Castlevania games, and the "Metroidvania" subgenre of games have become a prevailing force in gaming today. Especially now, Metroidvanias are bigger than ever.

I can very much see Resident Evil being added later too, bc it really did popularize and define ...
