Is that meant to mean something? Here in the US, the PS5 has been in stock for over a week and remains in stock right now.
And yet that means nothing, PS5 and Xbox are both being hit by the chip shortages, as is pretty much everything from cars to computers. It's just getting a bit better is all.
😂😂
Must be quite a serious medical issue to leave your job. I hope her / her family are OK.
The Series X is affected by chip shortages too.
And the price increase was around 2 weeks ago, it would take time for that to have an impact - and I don't think it will have a big impact on PS5 vs XSX unless they price increase in the US.
@Flawless It's been 6 months since the last 1st party game on PS, if that isn't a dry spell, I don't know what is.
@XBladeTeddy Agreed. They've had a steady stream of content, just nothing huge like a Mario Oddysey (for me at least).
"Who cares if runs at 60 frames?"
The millions of people who bought a Series S console? and all of those who are intending on buying one?
Series S is way more relevant than One X / PS4 Pro at this point, barely anyone is buying those consoles now.
Exactly. It's been dry for new games on every platform, but that just means I finally have time to work through a huge backlog of tens of games.
I can't wait for Callisto. Really hoping it doesn't get a last minute delay - pretty close to EOY.
The little machine that could.
Good luck finding or building any other box for $299 that can run CP2077 even remotely as good as the S.
“ Why does df waste time with this”
Isn’t doing performance analysis literally the entire point of their website? 🤔
Congrats to him, being a VP of MS is a big promo/role.
@Christopher Oh I see what you meant now.
Yeah valve does take 30% initially but as you make more money they start taking smaller cuts. The % starts reducing at 10m dollars revenue (and that includes DLC and MTX etc, not just game sales).
Still not as competitive as the epic store though. 88-12 out of the box. But both are better deals than any console offers.
And while I’m sure MS would rather keep 100% / keep it in their store, the re...
?
Not sure that is an accurate statement, Minecraft + COD + Warzone makes more than 1st party Sony titles do each year.
But if it were true, then no reason the purchase shouldn't be allowed to proceed - isn't anti-competitive at all.
And if you had actually read the article, it says in 2021, iOS and Android overtook PS.
So they will be paying $70 to Microsoft on PC, a platform where MS doesn't have to give 30% to Sony, how is that a mistake exactly? Sounds like a gain if anything.
Acquisitions typically require that the existing leadership team stays on for a certain period of time. Sony would also request that he lets them announce the acquisition before any high level departures.
Highly doubt this is an acquisition.
You do realize the majority of the revenue on both platforms is from the free to play Warzone and has nothing to do with game sales, right?
The iOS and Android games (which outperform PS and Xbox) are also free to play.
Interesting that iOS and Android are bigger than PS and Xbox, I would've expected console Warzone to be bigger.
Either way, it sounds like MS are in for a strong, stable & varied income stream w/ their Activision purchase.
Between COD and Minecraft, they may even be the highest earning publisher on PlayStation which is funny.
@TiredGamer Do we need such 'apples to apples' comparison though?
At the end of the day, someone buying an Xbox of any variant is still an Xbox customer buying content, subscribing to things etc.
I guess the only real difference is, MS loses less money per S sold compared to the X (probably?).
@darkrider "casual don't know what they are buying."
Most know what they're buying, if they don'...
