It’s about 23 months for me without an Xbox exclusive, Xbox games don’t work in my PS5 🤗
But I fail to see how your comment is on topic.
Next up: $70 ‘remakes’ and paid upgrades for games people already own.
That makes sense and is totally possible for older HW but that will be pretty difficult on PS4/5.
Third party battery mods sure, but third party controllers have to be licensed etc unless a jailbreak occurs. Things we used to be able to repair, like lasers and whole disk drives now result in consoles failing to boot on modern boxes.
Lots more anti piracy procedures in place that unfortunately affects our right/ability to repair.
It does...
Being or not being a supporter doesn’t give credibility.
If only those who support a thing can comment on it then obviously we’d never see any negative opinions or feedback lol.
As I said, that’s just a Don Mattrick like statement. Want back compat? Go spend hundreds of dollars to buy our legacy hardware.
Also PSVRs won’t be manufactured forever, and existing ones will die out, so that is a terrible solution.
I don’t believe there’s a requirement to be a supporter of something to call out what is clearly a crazy take on something.
And I call it as it is - PSVR had a low adoption rate, Kinect even managed to outperform it 4x and Kinect sucked + was a failure.
Why not both? Let ID software make a Halo entry and have some of the many Xbox, Zenimax and Activision studios make new IPs.
An acquisition is an acquisition. Just because the industry was smaller back then or because they bought 15 small companies instead of one big one doesn’t negate that fact - all of Sony’s big studios today are from acquisitions.
Tbh I thought MW1 looked ahead of it’s time in 2019 - still a very good looking game today and at 60fps too.
Can’t wait for this. The only problem is it releases the same day as MW2.
The demo is pretty awesome. Highly recommend checking it out.
I can’t wait to play the final product.
Old stuff breaks eventually, batteries die out, etc and replacements stop being manufactured.
“ PSVR works on PS5 with an adapter. You can play 99.9% of all the games. There's your backwards compatibility.”
This totally reads like something Don Mattrick would’ve said lol.
If you want back compat - we’ve got a solution for you! An old electronic that we will stop making eventually that costs hundreds of dollars! 😂
I don’t think it’s DOA unless they come in at a crazy price point.
I do think it’ll sell poorly like the first one though - perhaps even worse depending on the price point given the current economic situation.
Back compat is always bottom of the list for Sony in terms of priorities.
This will mean paid upgrades and/or full price “PSVR2 remasters” though.
Well that’s a headline I never thought I’d read. Kinda crazy.
There’s a certain irony to calling those games cash grabs when TLOU has just been remastered for the 2nd time, 3rd full price release in under a decade.
I would love to see the Doom team make a Halo game.
But most of Sonys studios are also acquisitions… Nintendo are the only ones growing things organically.
The Thing was a great game back in the day. I would love a remaster or remake.
But is relevant to the comment I’m replying to which talks about PSVR2 back compat - which is also a PSVR topic.
