One of the best games ever made. Hopefully we get a proper remake some day.
@Knush Correct - I have bought this game twice already. Once on PS3 and again on PS4.
@Retro The devs are hardly going to come out and say it’s a cash grab. Unfortunately a lot of what PS has been doing under Jim has been cash grabs one way or another.
If this was made from the ground up for the PS5 it would look a lot better than it does. Are you trying to tell me that ND, one of the best developers when it comes to graphics, cannot massively exceed PS4 ...
Agreed. It should’ve been obvious to them from day 1 that the 2013 XB1 was not going to be able to run this level of graphics etc on split screen.
Even more of a betrayal now that there is a seemingly very functional version of coop playable in the current build.
If they can’t get it working because of Xbox One, just make it a Series X exclusive feature. Better than screwing everyone over.
The games discs still work, they should just replace the boxes. Presumably a huge company like Sony has some kind of insurance with the courier.
Other article was about them shipping broken, this article is about Sony refusing to replace or refund the broken units.
Yep - it is $5 more if you can’t find any friends/family/randoms. In which case you’d just subscribe to the $10 or $15 plan.
For everyone else, it is 11 dollars less.
Selective quoting perhaps.
It’s $5 more, but you get 5 subscriptions instead of 1.
This really isn’t that hard to understand, anyone who has completed elementary school math is able to understand this.
“Won’t someone think of the six figure CA tech workers”
They’re being more than fairly compensated. Three full price releases of the same game in under a decade is just a cash grab / taking us PS gamers for a ride.
If it was truly remade for the PS5 from the ground up, I would expect far better visuals than TLOU2 which was a PS4 game. Heck, the load times are pretty much the same too, despite drives being far faster this generation.
This is not rebuilt from the ground up for the PS5. It’s also the third full priced release of this game in under a decade - this has quick cash grab written all over it.
People can try to redefine the word remake as much as they want - ...
Yep - as stated I would happily buy this for $20.
A next gen upgrade is $10 on PS, this is a bit more than a next gen upgrade but isn’t a remake, so $20 is fair. $70 is not.
You’d have to be pretty naive to believe this is rebuilt from the ground up. Remakes like RE2 were rebuilt from the ground up.
An engine version update and minor improvements, while removing features and making the AI worse is not “rebuilt”.
The math isn’t that hard to grasp:
$15/1 = $15
$20/5 = $4
Pretty substantial price reduction.
Pipe dream is being too optimistic. This game won’t see out another year never-mind ten.
He’s not wrong. It is a re-re-master that still plays like a PS3 game but with a hefty price tag.
As expected, sales aren’t that high: https://twitter.com/chris_d...
Barely made #1. Sold half of what SR did, and SR was not a large amount of units. Lots of people probably waiting for it to be on sale for <= $20 like myself.
It costs nothing to be a decent human being and let others live as they want to live 🤷
The patch notes just read like the guy is completely deranged. Good riddance.
Oof. Shipping label stuck right on the box of a CE is brutal… how can a company involved in selling games be so far detached from gamers.
Yeah BestBuy are terrible with delivered items generally.
They’ve broken a lot of plastic cases and steel cases of games I’ve ordered from them. They also seem unable to get games here on/before release day despite living in a major city.
I’ve had way more success with Walmart in terms of getting things here on time and in one piece - but the BB rewards are still better than Walmarts offerings.
Not sure what country you’re from but here in the US the seller is responsible for getting the item to you in one piece.
The seller will typically replace or refund any damaged goods - any courier damage is between the courier and the seller (who may have insurance or an agreement with the courier).
If you paid for an item, you should receive said item as described. Poor packaging or bad couriers is the fault of the seller, not the buyer.
