You're not alone. I would love a sequel. Sadly I don't think we'll get one.
Kinda off-topic, but I'd also love to see a sequel to (or remake of) The Getaway. The setting of TG3 in Amsterdam and London looked great.
Notice how I said "weak month FOR ME". We can have differing opinions on what games are good.
And why would I want the service to die down? I subscribe, I want the games to be good. As I've said numerous times before, GWG became complete garbage after GamePass launched - I hope this doesn't go the same way.
This game may end up being a hidden gem after all the delays/drama etc.
Pretty weak month for me. Also not surprised though - I expect the base games service to go the same way that GWG went once GamePass launched.
I doubt first party exclusives have as much impact on one holiday as you’d think - otherwise Microsoft’s sales would be awful - they haven’t had a 1st party exclusive in ages but are keeping up with and sometimes outselling PS.
People also buy consoles for the upcoming games - e.g if I want to play Starfield or Zenimax/Activision games I may be inclined to buy an Xbox regardless of what’s coming out in the next 2 months.
But the vast majority of game purc...
Irrelevant what type of console it is. If you do the math, it comes out that they’ve sold 113 million Switches - that’s all that matters.
By your logic, Xbox and PS numbers are inflated too because they include people who bought mid gen refreshes etc.
“ Right now their creations can't evolve because of huge lack of power”
Nintendo regularly and consistently have the best rated exclusives… 🤷
Their most successful game to date has come of it.
The problem for me is, SoT isn’t really my thing. So there’s not been much from Rare for me. Goldeneye remaster is the first Rare game I’ve been excited for since they were acquired.
Yeah I think it depends. The only way I see them getting to >= PS2 is if they do launch the rumored Switch Pro and it's sales are included with the Switch (which I guess it will be since PS4 pro etc were merged in with PS4).
Otherwise, Yeah I think 130-140m seems more realistic.
Not sure what to expect/make of this... it's probably not Kojima, and I'm not sure I trust Konami to give this to a good studio - we haven't had a good SH game since the PS2.
I'll wait and see what comes out I guess. It's weird that they didn't just show this at their TGS presentation if it's this close to being shown.
Looks like the industry is still going strong despite the economic issues.
Switch is coming for the PS4's scalp pretty soon. It'll overtake the PS2 and be #1 at this rate.
Definitely. The BO series has way better story lines than MW.
@blackblades Yeah, MW is your typical "America good, everyone bad, shoot and/or blow everything up" story. BO games typically have more depth to the story.
I see it as more of a backlog. They need to remake RE4 and then they should do CV. Heck, I would even say remake RE1 again.
The only mainline one that doesn’t really need/deserve a remake is 0 really.
“we estimate that each new PS5 going forward costs Sony around 12% less to make overall”
And costs us 10% more to acquire - so the combination of a die shrink and price increase netted them a gain of 22%, nice!
Black Ops should be on that list. The story is better than MW2 in my opinion.
You nailed it! 💯
Seems very likely this is true if it's coming to PS4. Also, their engine runs across all and is pretty scalable from what we've seen, so why not cash in on last gen.
Hopefully the next-gen versions still hold up well, like Village did.
It sucks for sure - but it's also not a huge deal, not that many PSVR's were sold - it would be a much bigger deal if this was like PS5 not supporting PS4 games all-up or something like that.
How about the millions of PC gamers?
And you're entitled to disagree - but that doesn't invalidate my opinion :)
