I’d like to see him take on new genres and change them up a lot.
That’s why im pretty excited for Overdose - I think he’ll really shake up the survival horror genre and create something really interesting.
It is, but Kojima crafted it. What he’s saying is he doesn’t want to work on TLOU 3 (just using that as an example).
Presumably Kojima withheld some rights on DS too though - there’s no way Sony said “let’s go release this on Game Pass with Xbox achievements etc”.
Weak month if true.
JFO is good but old (but also makes sense to include it given the sequel announcement).
F76 is going to go down well given the other on-going thread on F76 right now.
Well he’s right - why would he take on 3rd party IP contract work when he can create new IPs himself?
Taking on outsourced work is beneath him.
The PS5 probably should do better, yes.
But don’t worry - they’ll hopefully patch it up.
Putting some pressure on Sony is good, one could argue that what Sony has today is a monopoly.
They certainly behave monopolistic - first of the big 3 to adopt $70 games, the only console manufacturer in history to increase hardware prices post launch.
Which mergers? There are tons of providers… and I’m very happy with the deal I have.
Eh? Telecommunications isn’t a good example here. I can name 20 providers here in my state alone, ranging from $10 to $100 per month.
Plenty of competition and consumer options.
@darkrider You’re right, paying to file a lawsuit because a games company that isn’t your favorite is acquiring COD does reek of desperation.
@ripped I’ve never once said MS won’t make Zenimax games exclusive. They’ve already done that with Starfield.
I do find it funny that every new Zenimax game released to date under MS has been some form of PS exclusive though. Obviously that’ll change with Starfield.
@Chevalier Well, they’re not wr...
@Kyizen 99% of console games are available on Xbox.
The game is also popular on Steam. Steam has more games than PS and Xbox combined.
Sounds like downplaying to me.

The FTC, an agency that consistently loses cases, has no chance of winning this in court.
The facts don’t show any reason why this is bad for consumers, or why protecting Sony is good for consumers.
Meanwhile the rest of the industries big players either don’t care or are supportive.
This acquisition is going ahead.
I dunno, I heard the 10 PlayStation gamers who filed a lawsuit will bring the entire thing crumbling to its knees /s
Yep, this is one of the games where gamers views don’t match reviewers views.
The game is being very well received on Xbox and Steam.
@shinoff No playing at all. I thought you meant it was F2P like a lot of these MMOs eventually go.
It is on PS+, but PS+ is not free.
We pay Sony, Sony pays MS. Nothing free about it.
If they’re not going to make decent quality built in batteries - just give us removable packs that we can charge on wall sockets.
That would also help longevity of the device longer term as battery cells die out.
There’s no excuse for cheaping out on the battery on a $200 device. Sony have been giving us cheap batteries for multiple generations now.
$200 for a game controller makes it a premium product - it should come with a premium battery, not be worse than the base controller that costs 1/4 of the price.
This looks very Portal like from screenshots. Going to watch some YT gameplay tonight and perhaps dive in.
This is like one of those Steam reviews you see where the guy has spent 5000 hours on it but says the game “isn’t fun and lacks content” :p
Heck, that rumor should’ve been dead months ago with the SH showcase + announcement of other studios.
Hopefully Overdose is good - I’m expecting it to be close to his original vision for SH.
