@Darkborn irrelevant really. Xbox is profitable but Sony also make money from non-PlayStation products, just not as much as Microsoft overall.
So yes, Microsoft are a more successful corporation than Sony and can therefore afford things like Bethesda.
No one cares how Xbox or PlayStation are doing - they care how Microsoft and Sony are doing. You can’t buy Xbox or PlayStation stocks.
As for the “guys in suits getting annoyed”... I doubt...
Microsoft just made two Bethesda’s in profit in 3 months. I don’t think they’re worried about cutting other platforms.
My bet is they patch the lack of effects (it is clearly a bug) but the weird 1080p-1890p (odd number...) resolution range remains since it's likely optimization related.

Realistically, why would anyone genuinely believe Microsoft spent 7.5bn on this to release the games on PlayStation? The value is clearly in exclusivity.
It’s been widely documented that Sony had more units available than Microsoft day 1 due to Microsoft waiting for RDNA2 etc.
Also you realize it doesn’t really affect either of us how well either box sells right? Unless you’re a shareholder.
For us, it’s more important there is competition.
Headline had my hopes up for a next gen upgrade but... it’s Konami, I should know better.
Remind me, which global pandemic did we have back in 2013? I seem to remember it being fairly easy to get consoles and PC hardware in 2013.

It’s not like Xbox is somehow immune to supply issues and it only affects PS5 and every piece of recent computer hardware lol.
Anyways, outselling the Switch is a good achievement too.
I forgot that while PS5 was selling, Xbox had 100 million units available. Sounds like Sony needs to fix their manufacturing /s

Aren’t there two PS5’s too? So two Xboxes combined outside two PS5’s combined - seems like a fair comparison to me.
Also I hate to state the obvious - Sony and Microsoft don’t care if they had to sell 2 or 10 SKU’s to sell more - revenue is revenue - so you are correct, a massive win.
Funny to see people try to defend PS5 by saying “but Xbox has two consoles!” That doesn’t mean anything, 99% of people aren’t rushing out and buying two Xbox’s that play the same games etc - just like most consumers aren’t rushing out to buy a PS5 and PS5DE.
This game is going to be beautiful. MS studios really get the most juice out of Unreal 4/5.
The game was pretty broken but even they don’t deserve this.
