@sourOG But you are commenting on a news topic about software updates, asking them 'produce more units, idiots'. Doing this update doesn't impact them producing units.
@LivingLegacy Aww, sorry if I hurt your feelings, fanboy. (not)
Censorship. Let people vote with their dollars.
The games are fun, but I would still happily pay for higher resolution / framerates. That plus we've yet to see how many next-gen games appear on Switch due to the gulf between PS5/Xbox and Switch.
Yeah I would agree. I think for $299, Series S is a great little box. Especially for kids / second room console / people who just want a FIFA, Madden, Fortnite, COD machine.
But I want a Series X, just haven't managed to find one in stock yet.
If you can scale from a 2013 Xbox One to Xbox One X, you can definitely scale from Series S to Series X/PS5. The gap is no where near as big, and core features like the SSD and high spec Zen2 CPU cores are still there (in fact, the Series S CPU is higher spec than the PS5 CPU...). CPU is the main thing, scaling CPU is a lot more difficult than scaling on the GPU side.
Also, developers already do this scaling on both last-gen consoles, and PC.
@S2Killinit You are right - Xbox will have exclusives like Bethesda games, switch probably won’t.
Developers still release 2013 XB1 and 2013 PS4 games in 2021. That’s all that has to be said.
It’s just funny that you think releasing software updates somehow impacts or removes resources from making hardware.
Lots of good content here - Xbox Gamepass just keeps getting better and better. Best deal in gaming!
That statement is true for Sony and Nintendo too - not just Microsoft lol.
Software development is not the same as manufacturing consoles.
Highly doubt the team doing software enhancements are the same team manufacturing consoles...
@Flawlessmic - I highly doubt MS spent 7.5bn to keep the games on other platforms...
@derek I’m a PS & PC gamer and I even would admit losing Bethesda games would be a huge blow. Only a rabid fanboy like yourself would pretend Bethesda has no games.
Exactly. Content is thin right now all-up - it normally is near launch but this time we also have a pandemic causing game delays etc (as it should - health is more important).
Bethesda says hello 👋
@lelo2play We are almost 3 months in already and I can only think of about 3 exclusives for PS5? Switch I don’t remember - it was too long ago.
DS
Astros
Destruction Allstars
Do you feel stupid now?
@DJStotty I agree with lelo - stop your BS - how dare you come here with facts and the list he asked for if the results don’t appease his fanboyism! /s
I would pick one up for sure. The whole 1080p30 docked 720p30 (or lower) undocked thing is starting to get old.
I forgot we are drowning in PS5 exclusives and were drowning in PS4 and XB1 exclusives at the start of last gen /s
Not sure it’s as clear cut as that. They could have touched more files on the Xbox and PC versions for example. Could also be something internal related to their engine/tools.
Patches are also normally delivered as diffs so it could be that Sony and MS handle the detection differently (e.g. byte level vs chunk/file level).
Another interesting thing is that XB1 is actually bigger than PS4 & 5 so I don’t think this is down to Kraken / better compression...
I bet he’s surprised by the success of GameStop though :p
Looks pretty good and a decent price point at $99.
